Most fantastic authentic Italian restaurant I've ever be too, delicious pizza that was beautifully crispy right to the middle. The pasta was to die for with extravagantly spiced Italian sausages throughout. 11/10

Food was excellent but the service was hit and miss, luckily waiter serving us was friendly and attentive but lady on the till could do with a lesson in basic manners. Seemed annoyed at us for splitting the bill and not a please, thanks or bye. Half our party were veggies but very limited options, just 1 pasta and 1 pizza.

We were a walk in for dinner last night. We were not immediately greeting by the young waiter who was stood next to us looking through menus. When he did acknowledge us he sat us at the worst table in the restaurant. We were not asked for drinks to start. We ordered our food and drink at the same time. Although the place was fairly busy and they had reserved signs on tables our food was out of the kitchen within minutes of ordering. The food was tasty. My partner had a pizza and I had pasta. On finishing our mains the plates were taken away but it was more than 5 minutes after that the owner came to see if we wanted dessert. We were not asked if we wanted another drink and we could not wait to get out of there. The tiramisu was quite tasteless. We are disappointed to say the least.

We try to ensure we eat here every time we visit Nelson. The food is excellent and so is the hospitality. It's so nice to dine at an authentic Italian restaurant, yes you have a small time to wait between courses, but this is no fastfood place. We generally take about 2hrs to eat and enjoy the company we are with. I would recommend booking to ensure a table.Grazi mille

A very pleasant experience all round. Loved the checked table cloths, the music and our Colombian waitress was very friendly. The food was delicious, a good pasta, the best caprese salad outside Italy, gustoso! And the most delicious chocolate cheesecake dessert, delizioso!! Can’t wait to visit Nelson again and go to Lombardi.

This was one of the best Italian restaurants in NZ we’ve been to. The food ( Pasta, fish and steak ) was very yummy and portions were very generous. Nice cozy environment and very nice, friendly Italian owner who served us. The best value for your money. Highly recommend and definitely will go again.

Lombardi’s Ristorante
We went there for dinner to celebrate Mothers' Day. The welcome was friendly and cheerful, and we were quickly seated. Nice warm fire on a chilly evening. Orders for drinks and meals were carefully taken and checked, with the ordered items on the table soon after. Everyone in the party enjoyed tasty, well-presented Italian food. The restaurant is wheelchair accessible off Trafalgar Street. Well worth a visit.

Delicious Italian food and the best tiramisu I’ve ever had!!Pity we live in Melbourne, Australia otherwise we would make this a regular Italian go to restaurant !!

We had an amazing dinner here. I cannot rate highly enough the level of service or the quality of the food. I’ve already got my sights set on my next visit. Great setting in the square too
