MajorDomo Villa Accommodation NZ

We're gutted with our booking experience with this company for their property 'Riverview Retreat'. We've been unable to make our booking due to COVID Level 4 lockdown and can't rebook as half our family is returning to the States in early September. They're stinging us with $470 worth of fees. Who knew it cost that much to administrate an online booking?! We'd recommend against booking with them which is a shame as we've supported them in the past.

Had a wonderfull stay here begining of the month with my family including 2 kids.They were very accomodating, and its an absoulty stunning home with beautiful sireal views to wake up to each day!Defenity would stay again and with a breif walk to town it was perfect. we all left feeling relaxed and warm and the kids loved the elavator (was an awesome treat).Thank you so much!

The administration fee for a cancelled COVID Level 4 lockdown was ridiculous. We can't change our dates, the house we booked was for 4 different couple with kids, and it would be nearly impossible. We would have happily paid the cancel fee but they are charging us an additional $350 admin fee on top of the cancel fee charges. It's terrible customer service. I wouldn't book with them again. Especially when hotels and other agencies are offering full refunds. In uncertain times, it's better to go with someone else.

We have very high standards and the team delivered on all fronts. Warm and friendly, attentive, responsive and just really nice people to deal with. The house was amazing and importantly, exactly as represented. Thank you team :)

BEWARE WHEN BOOKING WITH THEMThe house we staying in was beautiful and we did enjoy our time. However dealing with the unprofessional people at MajorDomo has been more than a disappointing end to our trip!There were some items with damage on our departure. Items I offered to help source quickly and at a price much cheaper than MajorDomo were sourcing them for, I was told no multiple times and that they would proceed with their designer - which is clearly proving that they are after the money and don’t care so much about the clients getting a good product and their items replaced nor do they clearly care about their clients (us) who booked this very expensive accomodation.They are a highly unprofessional business, after they agreed to finally let me source the items as I am an interior designer I worked to get prices quickly and answers for them, however when I disputed one item they were trying to charge us for(Property management charge - guest damages (assess damages, arrange additional cleaning services including steam cleaning carpet, collect damaged sofa covers from cleaners, collate photographic evidence of damages, get quotes for replacing damaged items)Valued at $637.50 because I am sure their owners pay them good Money already to do this as a service they went ahead and just charged the full amount we were in the process of resolving. I also asked for tax invoices from the suppliers they were trying to charge me for prior to them charging and they couldn’t even do that.Now they are telling me if I order them their items and deliver them to the MajorDomo office they will return the money I was charged over and above. However until that point that are basically holding $1300 of my money ransom.They have charged us a total of $4000 in damages which is completely disgusting as the house most definitely did not have that. They have added absolutely everything they could onto their bill and then their they are doing us a favour by saying the owner will replace the $100 toilet brush holder and 2 champagne flutes!BEWARE WHEN USING THIS COMPANY. They will take what they can from you be careful take a lot of photos or maybe just book with another agent. My family booked the adjacent villa through Touch of Spice and they had NO ISSUES at all and they had the same amount of people and activities go on in their house. As we were all there for a weddingThey will take anything they can from you - and make out like your completely destroyed their property which we didn’t do anything of they sort! A couch had a greese type stain that couldn’t be removed. I have found them a new replacement cover at cost! And the deer hide got a small burn mark on it from the fire place which I also found them a replacement for both totallying $1050 however they have charged me $4000 in damages when we could have had it all fixed for around $1600. Total money grab my the managers of this company. And they should be disgusted.

A fabulous range of properties that provide a slice of luxury and all the arrangements made seamlessly. Totally professional and exceptionally helpful when changes needed to be that were out of our control. If you take the time to read the terms and conditions you will understand their policies and there are no nasty surprises.I believe when you are staying at properties of this standard you can expect some fees and if you break something or cause damage you should expect to replace or repair. I would absolutely recommend working with this company, their knowledge love and passion for what they do is standout. Thanks MD team.

We recently used MajorDomo to help plan our New Zealand Holiday and they were fantastic to deal with. The team were very professional, and the vast selection of luxury properties made it really hard to choose where to stay! Their team gave great advice and helped us chose the perfect place. When we checked in, MajorDomo met us at the house and did a walkthrough of the property with us to make sure we knew how to run everything. I cannot recommend this company enough - impeccable service and beautiful holiday homes. We loved our stay with MajorDoimo and will definitely use their services again!

A great place to stay, We booked in 2021 and 2 weeks before had the boarders shut, they gave us a full refund. we then booked in 2022 and had an awesome time, comfortable, clean, everything that you need is there. easy check in and check out.

We were having the most fabulous time in a slice of heaven when the National Level 4 lockdown was announced and our stay was cut short! The staff could not have been more gracious in looking after us whilst all sorting out their own personal lives and preparing for a prompt lockdown. They could not have been more accomodating or professional when once again like many people, their workplace changed overnight. We are safely tucked up and working from home now, but wanted to say thank you!

We hired the Jacks Point Lake House in Queenstown for our guests to stay in for our recent wedding. The house was beautiful and the perfect size for the number of friends and family accompanying us. MajorDomo were very accommodating when we had to postpone twice due to Covid lockdowns and the owners were also kindly flexible on the dates we needed to stay. They also very kindly were happy for us to host our wedding reception / private dinner (8 people total) with private chef once we explained that it was a very intimate affair. We dealt with Poppy who was great at communicating with us and we had a very smooth check in and check out. We would definitely use MajorDomo again if this experience was anything to go off.
