A good experience. Coffee was nice. Unfortunately could not try their breakfast menu as their breakfast guy was away. So, had to try their pasty items displayed rather than trying their breakfast menu which I initially wanted to give it a try. It is just located by the main road. The had got outdoor seating as well. Anyways, not a bad choice if u r touring in Akaroa.

How not to treat the customer.We tried to order food and coffee here but the staff were arguing and basically could not be bothered to serve us.We left, I wonder if they behaved like that when interviewed for the job?

This place has fantastic staff that are super welcoming and attentive. The vibe is great, it’s in a perfect central location in Akaroa and the milkshakes are the best, srsly get a boysenberry milkshake.

Such a great little find! Awesome customer service, the lentil soup homemade was so tasty and they were super accommodating to my 4 month old. Thanks guys will be back

We picked up ham and cheese croissants to take away. They were delicious but it took a little while for them to be heated up and they were plated even though we asked for take away. The two plus a bottle of water was $26. They seem to be doing their best and the food really was delicious. I think they just need to communicate more about what the wait will be. There were a few orders brought out to the wrong people and a few others who had to come in to ask how long their order would take. Would be better to just let them know ahead of time.

Visiting from Australia and it is fair to say we are coffee snobs- Crater coffee more than met our expectations- excellent! Also had chocolate danish and egg and bacon brioche which were superb. Great service and highly recommend.

Went 2 weeks ago for the first time. Honestly very average food and coffee. The customer service was below average. As soon as we walked in we looked in the cabinet for 1 minute and the older lady behind the counter huffed loudly and walked off and muttered something about us needing longer to decide, like we were putting her out for waiting while we decided.That should have been our first warning sign to leave. Same lady bought out our drinks and food with no enthusiasm. Service with a smile goes a long way.A couple behind us looked like they had an average experience too. Barista made the wrong coffee, so bought out a bottle of chocolate sauce and showed them how to turn their coffee into a mocha. Unbelievable. They should have just remade the coffee like any other cafe would do.Will not be back.

Lovely cafe with friendly staff! We bought ice cream and when I dropped a scoop on the floor, they replaced it no charge. Really nice place!
