Price: We paid NZD5 per person. You need to pay in cash. This is the first camping site that we have not regretted paying to stay in our non-self contained car.Parking space: There was enough space.FacilitiesToilets: Super clean and separate with toilet papers and soap.Showers: There is no shower in the camping site. It is explained on the board that there is a swimming pool close to the site for that purpose.Reception(Vodafone): Yes.Trash bin: No.Location: Easy access to the site (6 km from the main road).Sink: Yes (sponge and dish soap available).Shelter: Yes. There are some benches you may use as well.Bonus: Definitely recommend to visit Woodstock Glow Worm Dell which is just 15 minutes’ walk from the camping site.

Great place to camp overnight, simple but tidy and neat wee walk

Lovely campsite surrounded by fields and sheep. Has flushing loos and an outside sink for washing up, also has some sheltered benches you can cook and eat at when it's raining - definitely worth $5 pp!

Great value camp site, $5pp/night, picnic tables, sink and counter, toilets, seems to be cleaned regularly, water access. Close to hokitika and many of the nearby sights to see. Parking is along the fence, signage and information is posted on the building along with the honesty box. A fun swing is tied to the tree.The sunrise is wonderful here, the large grass field gives a great view onto that distant mountain landscape. Heard many weka calls at night, with fantails in the area. I am almost certain I saw a kiwi in the field behind the building, but couldn't quite see enough to confirm.

What a great low key campsite, $5. 10 min walk to awesome local pub. Water, flushing toilets, community run, grass for tents!!

Lovely place to stay at only 5 dollars a night pp. Toilets are cleaned daily and they even hang up a freshly washed towel! Great place to stay at if you go to the gorge!

Great bike Rally

Great campground, heeps of space for a lot of tents. Toilets are clean, 4 Picnic table available. You can't bring your car on the big field.

This community-run place was a real surprise! Very reasonably priced per person and was a lovely quiet spot. I'm surprised by the photos of a canvas village" as when we were there we were the only tent with about 4 camper vans in the car park. Toilet facilities were clean and well stocked with toilet roll and soap

Awesome visit great camping spot for the woodstock motorcycle rally will be back next year for the next one
