Chicken fried rice for one for my daughter - $16. Which I thought was really expensive for a bland tasting fried rice with hardly any chicken & a few frozen vegetables thrown in. Could have made myself for less than $5 but better. Not good.

St Heliers Takeaways on Maskell St is awesome.They do some of the best Thai, Chinese and European Takeaways in Auckland.The Gai Sam Ros dish is exquisite. In fact I’m yet to have a meal from here that hasn’t been 100%.If you want top quality food at a decent price this is where you need to come.

We ordered many dishes from this takeaway as we wanted a change and looked to support local. The food was the best Chinese we had - full of flavor, vegetables crisp and bright in colour, friendly service and great value for money. Have now made this our regular favorite takeaway shop.

The Chinese food is usually pretty good. Tonight we made the BIG mistake of buying fish( crumbed) and chips and a Curry Roll. The fish was entirely forgettable. The chips were bland and I couldn’t eat the Curry Roll. It was sooooo greasy, full of rice with a tiny piece of chicken and almost no curry flavour. Lesson learnt. I won’t buy those items again. Disappointing

One of my favourite places for takeaways, the service, speed of preparation and the quality of the food is stunning. The crisp on the chips is ideal, the crunch of the fish is delectable and the succulency of the chicken is phenomenal. Could not recommend more!
