Friendly, professional service. Thorough examination and clear concise explanations and info provided. I needed my reading glasses updated this time, and will definitely be back for my check up again in a couple of years.

Long story short, as soon as I entered the store, the sale assistant looked at me with contempt and immediately said that the lenses I wanted were expensive. Simple as that. Then she turned around and started doing something else.So I left the store, went to OPSM Shirley, and was very welcomed by a professional and friendly sale assistant, she spoke to me, and respected me as a client and more importantly, as a person. I bought from them the lens I wanted.OPSM Papanui, avoid them. Go to OPSM Shirley and get an excellent service.

Oliver the optometrist was very professional, kind, efficient and thorough, really took the time to do the eye exam and to explain my options. Plenty of fashionable lenses to choose from in all price ranges (maybe slightly on the pricier side), and competent staff members.

After two appointments, a year apart, I believe I now have clear direction for the future course of actions that will deside what's next. Thank you.

Always great service from the staff at OOSM Northlands.They knew all about my previous eye health before my appointment and made me feel very comfortable.

It's difficult to express my gratitude to Jyoti at OPSM Papanui. I was concerned about my eye pressures. Jyoti did a thorough, professional examination and at the end used two different machines (one using anesthetic) to get a more accurate reading. Jyoti was able to reassure me that my pressures were in the normal range and I didn't need a new prescription at this stage ! All this for $55 ! Thanks again Jyoti !

My eye examination was thorough and everything was explained. However, when it came to the choosing of new frames I was pretty much left to myself. The Assistant pointed out where the cheaper ones were, explaining that the price went up as you went along the wall.I managed to find something that I thought suited me. The assistant agreed, but didn’t offer any further options.When it came to the fitting the same assistant took a quick look, adjusted the arms and took my money. A few days later I had to go back as glasses kept slipping down my nose. Same assistant did adjustments. I had to go back the next day as I ended up with really sore ears and a headache. I was referred to Robertson (Store Manager). He was most helpful, he took his time, explained what needed to be done, was very professional and pleasant to deal with. Glasses now very comfortable. Happy customer.

The optometrist explained everything really well and gave me good advice, without trying to 'sell' me anything I didn't need. He was very professional and personable. The person running everything at the front of the store was also excellent. He explained how it worked then allowed me to take me time browsing for frames, without hovering, but was available to answer my questions. The rating may be 5-star once I get my glasses and experience the service then

I visited OPSM with my son to purchase a pair of sunglasses suitable for spending all day for a week in the mountains on the snow. My son selected a pair that fitted well. However, the sales assistant was unable to explain anything about the glasses to me, eg the quality of the lenses, whether or not they were polarised. So I ended up googling the information myself. It turned out they were very suitable. So while the end result was great, the process to getting there was well beneath what I would expect.
