Betty's Liquorstore - Frankton

This store is doing a disservice to New Zealand, their prices are double anywhere else, it’s the price you would pay in a restaurant. Designed to rip off tourists. This is not what we do to people visiting our country. Head around the corner to another shop that is actual prices.

Convenient location, limited selection. Alcohol is very expensive in New Zealand. Disappointed that I didn't get to meet Betty.

I would give less stars if possible. Overpriced alcohol, rude racist counter lady. 0 customer service skills. Not surprising considering I'm not white

I would put 0 stars if that was possible.What an absolute joke.My partner and I have just arrived from Australia had a lovely dinner out and thought we would stop by and grab a few drinks at Betty’s. The lady at the counter tonight (short brown curly hair and glasses) ask for both our ID and of course fair enough. We provided both of our ID to the lady she looked at the both front and back then proceed to say “mhm I can’t accept this I need your passport” with such attitude. I explained our passports are at our hotel but we do have our travel pass and VAILD photo ID - being drivers license and she STILL would not accept our license and travel pass. Very rude customer service if that’s even what you want to call it.First night in NZ and we won’t be coming back to this bottle shop ever again.We did however go to Henry’s bottle shop after this Incounter at Betty’s where we had no issue getting a few drinks for home and cheaper with great service!!!!!
