I had only coffee but it was great! Finaly after few days travelling I had coffee with good taste! I will come again maybe for something to eat too. BTW nice staff and very pleasant place. ❤️

Their eggs benedict is phenomenal (I’d recommend splurging for the salmon option!), and don’t sleep on the baked goods - cheesy scones and muffins are the best on the coast!! Some really good vegan options too

Lovely and cozy little cafe in Kaikoura.I loved how welcoming and friendly all the staff were.Menu was a bit different to what you find every where else, thumbs up for that.The food was incredible and the portions very generous for the $ you paid.I had the cornbread with poached eggs, it was to die for.I’m always very picky with my coffee but this place definitely serves a good cup of coffee.

Food, service, and atmosphere were all excellent. Great vegan & vegetarian options. Local beer on tap was great, will come again !

Wonderful breakfast at Sime’s - great ambiance, lovely staff and delicious food. We had the cornbread & eggs and strudel French toast - would recommend both! A bit pricey, but it was well worth it.

Had such an amazing breakfast today so I had to leave a review. The quality of food and flavours at simes are next level. Both meals were delicious - the steak and fried egg with the rosti was a treat.

Great coffee, yummy maple tea as well.Cornbread and thick cut Bacon with fried egg looked great but wanted some thing to balance out the deep-friedness.Avo and Tomato with poached egg was great, love the additions of the seeds.Had a few brown stringy avo bits thru it, but other than that tasted good, fresh and light.Overall a great lil cafe with good service! Plenty of outdoor seating. Would recommend for anyone travelling to Kaikoura.

My ham benny was nice, but have a look at my partner's simple sunny side down eggs on toast. The amount of oil was intense. We used napkin after napkin to try to soak it all up, you can see how much oil was left on the plate and used to cook simple fried eggs.
