This place was wonderful! Not only do they have a menu which caters for dietary requirements, but what they delivered was truly five star dining. The pork belly was divine! Special mention to the wait staff who were also so warm and attentive. It felt special to dine here.

We got to this establishment straight after the Earnslaw cruise, due to its central location. Having read the reviews, we were prepared to place our order. We took a whole baked sole, agria potatoes and a salad to share. Everything was just fantastic!The service was good. We took a table outside and thoroughly enjoyed our lunch. The only cons maybe the cost, it was the most expensive lunch we had in Queenstown. But we don't have any regrets!

I have had the best experience dining at Public Kitchen in Queenstown. The classic Kiwi food was made to perfection. The service provided was amazing and the staff overall are friendly, especially that I have been served by Fabian and Claire and they was very welcoming and made sure that I get the right dishes and the right amounts. Highly recommended.. and I hope anyone gets served by those amazing staff members

Has a great lunch under perfect skies. Tapas style share plates, accompanied by wine and cocktails. Service is friendly but a bit slow when busy. Easy going and relaxed vibe.

A wonderful restaurant & bar by the lake with indoor and outdoor seating. We were here for lunch.Loved the baked camembert.. dont miss it if you are a cheese lover..The potato dumplings are to die for! We asked them to make it with mushrooms instead of bellpeppers and totally loved it.

Public Kitchen and Bar is the best restaurant I ate at in New Zealand. Food was incredible! We ordered the “Trust the Chef” option which I highly recommend. I loved every dish. The grilled squid with pineapple salsa was incredible and fork tender. I’ve never had better. The pork belly had the most amazing flavor and was cooked perfectly. For dessert was a delicious traditional pavlova and a coconut crème brûlée which were both incredible. Great location, ambiance and staff! They even played some of my favorite songs!

Absolute delight. We came for just a mulled wine, saw others meals so decided to order ‘trust the chef’ three courses. Each meal was very tasty, we were both so full. I enjoyed the blanket that was on offer on the deck too. Staff were super welcoming as well 10/10.

Sit so close to the water that you might want to jump in and get your own fish for lunch or dinner. Incredible views with good food and drinks. We had pork belly and fettuccine. Both were good but a bit salty.

Had dinner here for our last night in Queenstown. Food was amazing & our waiter was super on to it! We went with the Trust the Chef option and i was surprised, almost everything that came to the table was something I wouldn’t have ordered but I enjoyed it so much especially the vegetarian options. They had live music playing when we arrived and it really just added to the great vibes of the place. Would definitely be back next time im in Queenstown.

We originally started coming here as a place that accommodates the kids, because they have a great kid menu and welcoming environment for families, but the full adult menu is great. They have an excellent vegetarian menu and also celiac menu. The service is always perfect. It's always fun when they play live music too.
