One of the best Juijitsu gyms in New Zealand. Excellent instructors and high level training partners.The best part about Axis is the welcoming and friendly training environment. Very little egos in this gym and so many smiling friendly faces.

I have recently started attending the Female Only classes (3 sessions). It's been a supportive environment and the other members are really welcoming and friendly.A lot of information about the club can be found on Facebook and Instagram, with helpful videos on what to expect when you go to a class.They reply quickly via email/instagram when asking for more information.

Great place to train. Professional but relaxed, great community. What I really appreciate as a beginner is the humility of the instructors and the lack of ego across the board of all members. Great culture of higher belts patiently taking the time to help lower belts learn.

Axis is a friendly, welcoming gym. Their instructors are down-to-earth and approachable and there are no big egos which I think is really important. I would recommend this place to anyone who wants to learn BJJ in a supportive environment.

I arrived to Christchurch and looking for a BJJ. I think that Axis is very good . I liked it after the first training! Caring coaches, friendly teammates, very quality mats - all is good. I will be with Axis for a long time.

I have been training at Axis BJJ for about 3 years and have had a fantastic experience. The instructors are knowledgeable and friendly, and there is a very welcoming atmosphere! The variety of session times is also a huge plus (early morning, lunchtime or evening), making it easy to fit into a busy schedule.For anyone interested in starting BJJ, this is the place to go!

Highly recommend ⭐Been training here for almost 2 years. The coaches are patient and super knowledgeable and the gym has a friendly atmosphere with people training from all different walks of life.For people looking for a bit of self defense to those looking to seriously compete, this place caters for all.

Brazilian Jiu Jitsu is the perfect martial art for all ages, sizes, and skill levels. I'd recommend training at Axis to anyone (and anyone's kids). It's an excellent choice if you're just in it for a solid workout, if you want to compete in grappling tournaments, or have a dream of fighting in the UFC.My kids have trained at Axis for several years. In this time they've gained confidence, social skills, self-defence skills, and fitness.The team of coaches at Axis are experienced and friendly. They're very approachable, and are always ready to share their knowledge.100% recommend.
