Really wanted to try takeaways. Unfortunately they don't have a website or answer the phone number advertised for takways. Unfortunately the business seems hard to contact so can't even try and make an order. Bit slack

We just have a wonderful dinner. Their cook Nepal dumplings really yummy which is as same as I ate in Nepal. I can see they are well balance taste the tradition Nepal or India food in New Zealand. We have ask a container for take away because it was so delicious and we don't want to waste any food. The waiter's service are very good, polite and friendly. He was willing to introduce their cook and every dishes is Yummy and well balance in taste. Usually, we don't like India food because it is too salty. However, this restaurant food was really good with nice presentation.Highly recommend for those who drive pass this town.

We ordered one Tikka masala and one palak paneer 20 mn before close and in the rush the palak paneer was literally half full, but in the end they made another half 10 MN past the kitchen closing time for us so it was good. Thank you indian and Nepalese kitchen!

Best Curry's in Waitaki. Portion sizes are good and it's always good quality. Be adventurous in your meal selections as well. The starters are brilliant and Nepalese dishes are amazing. My mouth's watering just thinking about it ! Lamb Rogan Josh is my favourite but it's all very good. Try the Mango Lassies as something a bit different to drink.

Like another review said, lunch special is really a good deal. We just eat half of food and we're full. We went there today (30/Jun/2018) about 12pm and finished about 1pm, there are no other guests except us.

Highly recommend. Ignore the location and decor. The food was absolutely marvellous - heaps of vegetarian options, everything has clearly been hand made and carefully spiced with great spice mixes. We love good vegetarian Indian and can't believe how delicious this was, alongside trying the Nepalese specials which we're less familiar with. Even more choice for carnivores but can't comment on those meals. :-)

Disappointing unfortunately. The place / ambience is nice. V were the only ones. Party of 10. So that was a plus. But service was a little slow as I think it’s a family run business. But that’s ok.Advertised as Nepali but most dishes r from south India!! So I guess they r just using the name but food is really South..The food price is as New Zealand all over 16- 20$ on avg for a dish. The taste is just ok. Felt more like food being made from sauces / paste, rather than fresh ingredients.V had prawn malabari (paste sauce) coconut was quite over powering and could not feel tamarind or spices, even though v said moderately hot. 21$Lamb sekuwa ws spicy, slightly over done but quantity was was very small for 16$.Dal makhni should b avoided. Taste ws not great at all. It ws all ghee. 18$Chicken biryani is probably a dish only North Indians known how to cook n most Indians in nz r from south. 19.5$Plain naan for some reason has oil rubbed over it. The waiter didn’t have an idea of plain naan. And so was the the roti... small servings and partially burnt 3$/eachMomos were ok. But I did wonder if they were hand made or just out of the packet!! 14$Bhuteko chicken is fried rice with chicken and not worth it either. 14.5$Lastly advertised halal but I wonder... the guy didn’t know brands of halal. This might seem like a very harsh review but I feel if one is charging top price for food then they should also know what they r serving. One of the major problems in nz due to get it done attitude.. (or in migrant terms chalta hai..)From a Nz perspective food is good taste as most nzers don’t have a feel for subcontinent taste. So u may actually enjoy it...

We sometimes stop in Oamaru on the way home from the north and we always get food here. It's some of the best Indian food I've had in NZ and the best Nepalese food. Thanks
