On Yer Bike Winery Tours

Had an amazing time on our self guided tour, such good fun on the e bikes. A special shoutout to the owner as he dropped us back into town after we finished. A highlight of our time in NZ, couldn’t recommend it enough!

The guys at On Yer bike were a great help in arranging or cycle ride around the vines for myself and my friends. They followed us around and picked up our purchases and had them ready to load into our car when we got back. Phil was very helpful and went out of his way to make sure we had a great time. He also put on a great tasting at Ashridge Wines where ONYB is based. Watch out for the Syrahs and Malbecs cracking wines

Awesome day doing the Bridge Pa circuit . E-bikes are great, with plenty of power for the whole way. Had our 73 year old mother in law with us and she managed fine. Easy and well communicated process. Would recommend.

A big group of us hired bikes from here and we were greeted by a very grumpy receptionist called Phil who felt like he didn’t want us there even though we had paid over NZ$1000 for bikes. We had to manage his mood and remain very calm and polite with someone who was meant to be serving us even though we were the paying customers.Hiring bikes and doing this wine tour is definitely a great thing to do for a day but I would suggest seeing if there is somewhere else to hire bikes as it is not nice starting the day like this.

Great idea, really well thought out, we had a fab time cycling between the vineyards. The staff are friendly and bikes are good condition, they give you a map and suggestions of which way to go and which vineyards to visit that day, we loved it! Cycling felt safe as there are dedicated cycle tracks for most of the way, only short stretches on quiet roads.

The people running the show were extremely rude and completely ruined the morning. It has left me with a very sour taste in my mouth and I will not be hiring bikes off them again if it can be helped. We were not treated with the respect and courtesy which you would have expected at the least given that we were paying over $1,000 NZD and just generally were customers. The groups before and after us suffered the same problem. We were very nervous around Phil who was serving us and he was extremely judgemental and made many assumptions about the group that we were treating it as a “pub crawl”. They didn’t want to give us an e bike on this basis despite the team member requiring it having a BROKEN FOOT!!! Enough said.
