Awesome place and scenery. Great walking tracks. Will definitely visit again

Love views, fresh breeze kids play areas and picnic areas

Loved that this is a more challenging walking path. It’s also dog friendly and is a rolling countryside escape just minutes from the busy eastern suburbs hub. Lots of space and several paths. The kick came at the end - return trip to the car park area with over 500 steps uphill - so you really need to be fairly resilient for this one. The upside is that the pathways are well maintained and accessible and clean and clear. A beautiful sunny day made it a very good choice. Recommend to most people but definitely consider the pathway back - track or stairs. The views up here are phenomenal - you can get clear views wether you look east, west, north or south. Sunset up here would be amazing too.

Heavenly if you like nature and walking. It was quiet and beautiful.

Parked our car by the summit, which was surprising. We got a taste of the summit before even doing our hike/walk.We then headed down a couple of tracks to do our walk. There were signs to guide you. However, some of the signs were covered by tall grass or was quite rusty already. There were lots of stairs, which gave us a really great workout.The summit gave you views of East and Central Auckland.

Great walk trail. Great view from the top. You can have picnic and enjoy the view.

Nice and beautiful place easy track for kids

Great lookout, with smallish carpark. Tracks currently closed due to Kauri Dieback situation. Expansive views towards the west, can easily spot the Sky Tower, Mangere Mountain, and out towards Awhitu/Whatipu etc. Worth a visit. There is extra parking out on the road if carpark fulls up. There is some seating cut into the hill, and a couple of picnic tables on the summit.

If forest walking is your thing, this is an incredible walk! It's steep so the stairs down are many, with beautiful bird life. With as many stairs down, you have just as many going up on the other end. Three tracks to choose from. Dogs are allowed too.

A nice little Bush Walk handy for people living around the Flatbush area. Ideal for a daily 1.5 hour exercise.
