Beautiful spot ,would stay again,shop at entrance excellent, clean facilities, even its start of winter still great place to stay

Definitely the best beachfront campground in the Golden Bay area. Great value, lovely hosts, very clean & well maintained facilities & well stocked shop with fuel pumps. Best location for exploring both coasts & Farewell spit.

Gary and Gail, the camp hosts are lovely, friendly and helpful. Awesome camp ground. Camp shop has a great selection of products. Beautiful beach.

This place is a true kiwi gem, priceless and timeless, and hosted by most hospitable owners. It reminds me of kiwi beachside camping holidays from my youth. So much in the world has changed but Pakawau Beach Park stands marvellously still in time. While your there, grab one of Gary’s ice creams on a cone - you’ll be grinning into the sunset!

We found this place unexpected...great spot, very friendly owners. We are with a little campingcar. Good kitchen and shower/ toilet block. We are pleased.

Great place to visit, will have to drive to Collingwood to get a decently priced dinner. Ground was a little well worn, but overall a really well organised campsite

Just the perfect spot for unwinding and getting refreshed. Right on the waters edge in paradise.The camp is a true kiwi camp ground. Basic but well looked after. This is not a 5 star accomodation facility but who needs poncy spa retreat when you have the sun, the beach and the stunning Golden Bay and Cape Farewell/Farewell Spit at your front door.Everything you need at your fingertips. Camp store full of groceries at reasonable prices considering the locality.Comfortable cabins with their own (well stocked cutlery/crockery and cooking equipment) kitchen, clean communal bathrooms, awesome water pressure in the showers, kitchen facility spacious and well stocked cooking equipment and utensils for those camping.Well worth the extra few kilometres to get there.We certainly will be back.

We didn't want to leave, we had a self contained cabin right on the beach front no toilet or bath room but that was ok a bathroom block not far away. Hugh stingrays, that was exciting and lots of snapper to be caught if you had a boat fun in the sun
