Queenstown Celebrant Philippa Thomas

We chose Philippa as our celebrant for a small Queenstown wedding. She was wonderful & friendly from the first communication. We also had a meeting just before our big day as we are Australians & travelled to NZ to get married, so she explained everything, helped us calm any nerves & relax. She wrote a beautiful, personalised ceremony & gave us a printed copy with our vows so we can revisit them any time. We just loved our ceremony, as did our families. Thank you for helping us create something special!

Philippa was terrific! We loved working with her and knew we were in great hands before we even stepped foot in New Zealand. Recommended!

Philippa is such a lovely person and this was evident from the very first contact with her. Her inviting, cheerful personality immediately makes you feel like you're chatting with a friend. We felt so involved with the process of writing our ceremony, and she was so flexible and open to making any changes that we requested. She wrote an absolutely beautiful, touching, personal ceremony for us that captured our story, our favourite poems, and even the different languages we speak! It was as if she knew us and the love we share. We could not recommend Philippa more highly! We are honoured that she married us.

We were recommended Philippa through our photographer. We live in Australia and Philippa made everything so easy. We knew she was a perfect fit from our first meeting via the internet. Just perfect! We were so honoured to have Philippa marry us in October 2017. As one of my best friends I could not imagine anyone else officiating our ceremony.Philippa thank you so much for your guidance and going above and beyond to present a ceremony that represented us perfectly. So many guests commented how beautiful and emotional the ceremony was and that can be credited to Philippa’s planning and presentation of our story.Whether an elopement or larger wedding with many guests, I would not recommend any other celebrant but Philippa in Queenstown (or anywhere else in NZ).

My wife Maddie and I had Philippa as the celebrant for our elopement ceremony in Queenstown. We are very grateful for her guidance, responsiveness and warmth, particularly on such a cold day up in the mountains! Philippa made the process leading up to ceremony, and the special day itself, so smooth and relaxed. Her speech was special and meaningful, she was very accommodating with time changes and she helped us further by printing our vows on cards on the day. Philippa was THE 'cherry on top' of our perfect day! We were given a list of celebrants by our wedding planner, and from the very beginning we knew Philippa was for us.Philippa was warm, engaging, informative, and her sunny disposition (both on emails AND at first meeting) instantly put us at ease. We had our little daughter Elly with us on the day, and their instant connection was undeniable lolPhilippa developed the most perfect ceremony that captured 'Us', and her ability to provide kind encouragements enabled us to soak in the moments.I would recommend Philippa in a heartbeat. Where do we even begin with reviewing this amazing woman?Philippa was absolutely instrumental in making our wedding day the most perfect, dreamlike experience. Everything was done with calm, ease, laughter and a whole lotta love. We're from the UK and travelled to NZ to elope and we contacted Philippa via email, discussing everything from our love story to our favourite things about each other. Nothing was stressful, everything was done with the utmost excitement. She personalised our wedding speech which was filled with the most beautiful emotion and love, completely personal to us, with hints of our weird couple in-jokes and personalities - words that will stick with us for the rest of our lives. Philippa also beautifully printed out our personal vows for us on the day (which was MUCH better than our hand written ones on paper which would have blown away in the wind, for sure!). Everything and more was included, and we talk about how wonderful she is all the time. We got to know each other like friends, and it was like having a family member up there with us. We're still in touch with her today (almost 2 years on!), checking in on each other and supporting her amazing business. All in all, we couldn't have had someone more loving, perfect and thoughtful to marry two best friends like us!We are FOREVER grateful this wonderful woman exists to bless the world with her kind heart and passion for love! Oh Philippa, we just can’t thank you enough for marrying us and for being our emcee during our reception, when our emcee couldn’t make it due to visa issues. The ceremony you wrote for us was just beautiful and the way you segued into BSB territory was just masterful. And you won little Stevie over! What an achievement! Thank you, thank you, thank you for everything you’ve done for us.We cannot recommend you highly enough! And I’ve already started recommending Queenstown and you as celebrant to our recently engaged friends here in Sydney. They’re still undecided on where to have their wedding, due to Covid-19 restrictions. But all the same, we’re so happy we had you to marry us on our special day. Having Philippa as our celebrant was a wonderful experience! I honestly would do it again (haha)! She was able to capture the love that my now husband and I have with each other and highlight the true and deeper meaning of why we chose to get married. She also has a great sense of humour which helps calms the nerves. Since we have always been in touch with her via email, it was really comforting to hear that she has a wonderful golden voice! Our ceremony was live streamed and many have left compliments with us saying how soothing her voice is! Best wishes to everyone who is considering Philippa as their celebrant!
