The fish and chips here are the nicest in the lower city area, great taste and not stodgy like some shops and the service is fantastic especially if you phone order.

Chinese food here is really good..it is slow as only the male owner make one by one but taste and portion size is awesome.Deep fried product and burgers are blah/generic same/same as all other places.

My wife and I visited Calypso tonight after hearing so many good comments as to the high standard of their fish & chips . We were not dissapointed . We had fish & chips that were cooked to perfection and so tasty. The staff were very friendly and polite. We certainly will be going back .

The place is a bit rundown, but looks tidy. Service is prompt and friendly. The portions are generous. It's just too much salt, consistently again and again. Can't taste anything else really.

We've been here 3 or 4 times in the past couple of months since discovering it. Whilst it doesn't boast great things from the outside, it certainly boasts well by the great food that they turn out, in good, honest portions & the people running it seem like nice people also. If you're looking for bankable, well cooked & tasty FnC etc or burgers, you really ought to try this place !
