Purchased a ute crane.Arrived well boxed up. Very solid and well made. Had to contact the company because we didn't get any confirmation email of the sale but all ended well. Not installed yet

Purchased a 20ton press. Quality was extremely poor. Bolts don't line up, one side is 5mm thicker than the ither. Welds were weak and crooked so the press doesn't align causing things to fly out sideways which is dangerous. After a few uses the bottle jack cylinder started leaking hydraulic fluid everywhere. Complete waste of money, cheap junk

Staff have a very take it or leave it attitude really not that interested. Even the branch “boss” can’t even listen to what you looking for! Don’t have stock of what you want on shop floor despite what the system states. Delivery from local warehouse takes a week - what!!?? This place is really no use to engineering businesses trying to get stuff done. Just a glorified handyman store and there are better ones in Chch.

The quality of products is no good and there warranties are good for nothing. I have purchased a few product over the years from them and had nothing but issues. The first was a leaf blower it was cheap and did the job fine however the pull start broke every second or third use. They replaced it the first time and then refused to replace after that and charged about $30 for the starter assembly. After buying three of these It nearly cost as much as the blower so I tossed it in the rubbish a purchased a decent one. Lesson learnt maybe not. More recently I purchased a roller gate motor not so cheap. After purchasing a friend came round who had also had the same motor and warned me hood luck and that he had issues with the same one and then also the warranty. It snapped the main drive after a month and they repaired it. A month later the same thing happens and now they try to say it’s not warranty and want to charge me. The gate itself weighs less than half the advertised weight the motor should handle. Don’t waste your money on these guys.

Fast and thorough service. Product was as pictured and described. Very happy with the end result.

Admittedly my order was processed quickly and I was advised my order was ready to collect within about 10 mins of placing it. The email they sent me to say order was ready to collect gave me there Shop address, upon arriving at the shop, they told me the order was at the warehouse about 10 mins drive away. Why couldnt they simply advise me in the email that item was at a different location, would have saved time for all involved. Would I use them again, dont know, but Id certainly look at other suppliers before being d!cked around by these guys again.

Avoid at all costs. Bought an item online and they dropped the price less than 48 hours later. As item was still brand new in box I thought no problem I'm sure they will honour the lower price and provide a partial refund. They didn't. Not happy with that decision I returned the product to their store for a refund - I then get a call on the way home after returning the item, the manager has decided to not accept the return (even though they have a 15 day return period!!!) and not provide a refund - essentialy holding my item as hostage! (at this point they've got my money and the item) I had no choice but to go back to the store to collect the item. I have never encounted such customer uncentric behaviour from a retailer. Absolutely disgussed by this business.

Always had great service. Super fast delivery, even with larger items. Website is easy to use. Highly recommend topmaq to my friends and work mates when they want gear. Awesome company.

The Havik 22 chainsaw is above my expectations for $280! Started first time

I bought a set of trailer ramps to load a mower onto a trailer. I got the ramps home and set up the first one which was ok despite the holes not lining up with the bolts. Clearly the alignments were off but I managed to force it together. When I went to set up the second one many of the bolts were missing so the top part that stabilizes the ramp and sits on the trailer couldn't be attached. As I couldn't construct the second one I couldn't use the ramps meaning I wasn't able to actually do what I needed them for. These are $180 each but clearly made it some low quality factory somewhere as they don't actually provide all of the bolts.Would not recommend at all, not I have to go back into town to get a refund on this and I've lost a weekend as they don't open again for two days!
