The Bayview Cafe & Bar
We came in at lunch time today and ordered a pizza and fish and chips. initial customer service was welcoming and friendly, but after ordering we had to wait nearly 40 minutes for food that was nothing more than mediocre. The fish and chips came out half cold, covered in sauce and did not have a side salad as stated in the menu. The chips were soggy and flavourless. The pizza looked appetising, but the taste was just off. We were left disappointed after only a few bites of food each and ended up leaving. Understandable that it is only a new business, and would love to give them the benefit of the doubt, but $40 and a 40 minute wait for what we received is just disappointing.

*(UPDATE) I never ordered a pizza or got given a complimentary cake thanks. Must be confusing my order. Just ordered one thing of wedges as did my friends I was with. They got served in 5mins, mine took 40. At the time it was not busy as there was only three or four other people there.* (ORIGINAL) Poor customer service and got our order wrong before taking the right order to the wrong table. Order of wedges took 30mins and came out with burnt bacon at a special surprise of hair in the bottom of the bowl. Not impressed especially considering the price

Food was average a burger and chips a salmon bagel and a coffee and a beer @ $51. With stiff competition across the road, do something special and give the waiting staff some lessons in how to serve food at tables. Those small details count.
