Hotel Give

As l was to stay in the hotel alone l was not worried too much about the size of my room and the fact it had a shared bathroom and kitchen. I imagined that as the price was $90.00 it must be okay.But on arrival the receptionist was unwelcoming and when l finally found my room it was tiny, with just a single bed and a small table and chair. I went to the kitchen which was on another floor to make a drink but found there was no tea, coffee or milk. I decided to upgrade which was a big improvement, but at cost! The receptionist the following morning was a lot more helpful, otherwise l would have given only 1 star.

Went to Christchurch with friends for the weekend.We had a large group and were accommodated well.The staff were very friendly and helpful, the rooms were clean and modern as were the shared bathrooms which were also plentiful and ideally located.The location is excellent- very close to the town centre with lots of bars, cafe’s, restaurants and street vendors just a short walk away.Would absolutely stay again.

We stayed for one night in a double-bedroom with a shared bathroom.Our room was perfectly clean and we had nice view on the botanical gardens. Our bed was SO COMFORTABLE!! Shared Kitchen and bathroom were both very clean, we felt at home. Amazing TV and good wifi.

Noise! There's ZERO sound insulation in the walls so you hear everything. From people doing a dump (Yes I'm serious!) even turning on a light switch you hear it. Anyone using a TV the sound blasts straight through the wall, voices, phones, anything! Want sleep? - forget it. Calling this a Hotel when it's more like staying in a caravan. This is an honest review of Hotel Give in Christchurch.

Being a regular corporate traveler, I've stayed in a lot of NZ hotels. My husband and I stayed here on our way through Christchurch on holiday. Awesome to know the profits go towards helping the community.As for our stay, can't rate it highly enough... everything we needed and more. We stayed in a deluxe queen room. Check in was easy and straight forward, room was clean and had a comfortable bed, chair and table with two dining chairs. Room was quiet, double glazed and bed was comfortable.We had an accessible bathroom that was clean and modernLittle perks.... smart TV that we could stream or favorite shows, wireless mobile phone charging beside the bed, plunger coffee in room all made the stay that more fabulous.There was even a lounge on our floor with couches and a TV.Restaurant downstairs makes amazing dumplings with friendly staff and we had a lovely walk along the river and botanical gardens right outside the doorCannot fault this place, absolutely perfect for our stay. Great value, location, amenities

So close to Christchurch Hospital and shops, pubs etc. I stayed for nearly 3 weeks as son in hospital here. Lovely staff, rooms are clean, cooking facilities are very responsible, bathrooms are nice and clean. Not too noisy

The location was next to the park which was handy. Though is a good walk to the centre. Hotel was relatively clean. Staff at reception were excellent. Seemed to have good facilities.My room was too close to elevator which meant my sleep wasn't great. Soundproofing was not the best so you could hear when neighbour room doors slammed.

After an initial abrupt welcome because they were busy and the rooms were not ready, we thoroughly enjoyed our stay. Staff were warm and friendly for the rest of our stay. We were there because of hospital appointments so the location was perfect, and it was great to be near town and the Botanical Gardens. Beds were very comfortable. We would stay here again

Friendly and accommodating staff. The 6 bed bunk room was spacious and mostly clean aside from a few pieces of garbage under my bed when I got there. A great, centrally located spot. Shared bathrooms are also pretty clean, could probably use a bigger garbage can. Overall, great value for the price.

Great place to say the twin rooms are so clean and the shared bathrooms are such good standard and lovely. All very clean and spacious. Very modern too. Staff are helpful
