The most AMAZING Indian food. My husband and I are here travelling from Australia and with Indian being our favourite cuisine, we eat it once a week. We can say that we have NEVER had better authentic Indian food than what we had here. The food was great portions and great flavours. The dining area was decorated really nicely and was very cozy. On top of this, the service was just phenomenal. The only thing we are so disappointed about is that we can’t come back (at least until our next trip to NZ)!!! Thank you for such an amazing dinner Spice Village.

Great experience, regardless of being very busy the service was still prompt, friendly and helpful.The food was delicious, the premium platter served on a sizzling hot plate was tantalizing and a great sampler of flavors.We shared a mild mango chicken Curry which was more then enough food and I believe the best curry I have had to date.We will be stopping to get another on the way home for dinner, great way to top off a wonderful getaway.

Me and my husband visited our family in New Zealand from Australia and we had dine in this restaurant, Each and every dish was mouthwatering, excellent presentation and service was amazing. Overall we tried many restaurant out there in New Zealand but according to us it is the best Restaurant we dined.

One of the very best restaurant I had dine in. The food was great and the customer service was exceptional. Katherine was really forthcoming and lovely, my nephew loved her. We really recommend the restaurant not just for the amazing food but for the wholesome experience they provide. Can’t wait to be here again.

Party of 5. Absolutely spot on. Food amazing. Loved our cocktails. School holidays think they needed more staff on but all in all they smiled got on with it and coukdnt fault the food. Definitely recommend

Dinner for two. Went with no reservation at dinner time and managed to be seated with no fuss. Very busy happy place. Extensive menu. Both our choices were excellent. Helpful staff.

Spice Village Hanmer Springs
We came for a meal last night, we arrived just before 7pm to have a meal. We were seated in the lower area of the restaurant as it was extremely busy. The staff were absolutely lovely and very accomodating regardless of being run off their feet. It took us about 45 minutes to receive our meal which is usual for a busy restaurant, we had some drinks while waiting. We ordered butter chicken and lamb bamboo, these were absolutely delicious and some of the best curry’s we have tasted. I will definitely be back for a meal the next time we are in Hanmer Springs, lovely meals and outstanding customer service.
