BJ and I are the kind of people that don't like asking friends and family for help, and the last thing we wanted to do on our wedding day was to have to ask favours of the people we love the most. We just wanted everyone to be able to relax and enjoy themselves without any stress or jobs to do, (big or small). So three months out from our wedding date we realised we couldn't do it on our own and Kate Parker was recommended to us by a friend, who said she had worked with her and she was wonderful, and I should give her a call....From the very first meeting with Kate she made me feel relaxed and confident. A weight was lifted from my shoulders and I had a good nights sleep!! I only wished I had enlisted her help from the begging - but I was also very great-full that she was happy to step in three quarters of the way through!! Kate was constantly making awesome jokes to try and make me relax and laugh a little. The day before the wedding at rehearsals when emotions and nerves were running very high she knew just what to say and do to take allot of tension away. I arrived at the wedding feeling so confident to walk the isle knowing she was there with me to guide me. We couldn't have wished for a more perfect wedding day. Kate went the extra mile and made everything happen that we wanted to happen even the groom requesting last minute bands the week before the wedding!! Perfect I will be forever greatful thankyou kate xoxoxo

Kate was simply amazing and an absolute dream to work with from the moment I met her. She's bubbly, fun and a completely wedding planning nerd. She was up for any task I threw her way, had endless suggestions and solutions to problems we faced sourcing items in Taranaki, and was extremely fast and responsive to all wedding correspondence. The two days before the wedding, I got to kick back and enjoy family and friends while Kate organised a million venders/logistics for our day. I later found out there were numerous issues that she seamlessly managed on my behalf to ensure we had the best day/days imaginable. She couldn't come more highly recommended!!

I met Kate during the New Plymouth Wedding Expo at the very beginning of my wedding planning journey and I knew from that encounter that I wanted her to be apart of our day. Kate helped my partner and I with not only logistics of our wedding day, ensuring our tick-list were complete and staying on track but also calming our nerves, our stress levels by bringing excitement and fun. Kate has a way of being professional but easy going all at the same time. We automatically felt like Kate was a close friend and apart of our family from the moment we met her. We can't thank her enough for being a part of our day and she will always hold a special place in our heart because of it. Thank you again Kate. You are seriously amazing!

Kate is absolutely incredible, she has a natural talent and ability to make everything easy and stress free.We were not able to give 100% to planning and organising our special day, but we couldn't have wished for anyone else to help us do this.Kate thought of things that hadn't even crossed my mind and executed them without fuss, she is so genuine in wanting to make everything special and run seamlessly, and that is exactly what happened. All communication was quick and easy and the positive messages to keep you on track were lovely.Having The Essential as part of our day was the best money we spent and something all brides should consider to take the pressure off themselves.You rock at what you do Kate - keep being awesome!

There is no way my wedding would have been so beautiful and well planned if it wasn't for Kate and her awesome team. Highly recommend!

We got Kate and the team to help us set up our ceremony - we didn't want the stress of having to get the boys and families do that on morning of the wedding, so put our trust in Kate and man did she deliver! Was stress free and knew that everything would be perfect. Highly recommend her for a stress free wedding day!

When choosing Kate as our wedding planner, little did I know she’d actually known Greg for years. In fact, I did not find this out until after our first meeting. Regardless, As soon as we left that initial meeting, I turned to Greg and said, that’s our girl. She was so relaxed, easy to talk too and to be honest, I could’ve talked all night to her like we were old friends! We planned our wedding for 18 months and in that time, not once was I left anxious or worried about anything. Kate was at my beckon call, nothing was ever a problem and our day simply would not have been as beautiful as it was, without her. We can not recommend her enough, our day was absolutely flawless.
