Nice quite place to relax and have some food and drink before flying, yes it is a bit expensive compared to other places in the airport, but worth it

Quiet place to sit made up for the undrinkable coffee. The minimal plate of scrambled eggs with one piece of toast was tasty but was not filling. Service was efficient, could be friendlier. Was puzzled being asked where im sitting when ordering as the staff member had seen me walk in and directed me to the till to order...so I had not yet picked a table. That was resolved by being told where I would sit so a table number could be allocated to the order. The place was empty so I would not have been hard to find. Been travelling overseas....so been spoilt for service.

Terrible place, took 15 minutes to get our coffees (bear in mind there was only 1 other customer at the time of placing order) 5 mins later after ordering another customer arrived and soon after that she received her food, a few more people arrived and yep they got their food too!!! All I ordered was bacon and eggs! Well half an hour later still no food! The staff were nice and refunded me but all that time wasted there wasn’t time for me to get a proper meal in before my flight. I wouldn’t ever come again or recommend this place

Whats up with the older Māori women serving behind bar and taking orders? She has very rude customer service, like I’ve never seen before, anywhere in the world. When customer started ordering food, server turned her back did not acknowledge she had received order, got utensils, customer asked if she got order she abruptly said yes, then criticised customer for not knowing table number. I got the same treatment. Young servers great. Don’t like people losing their job, but she has to go.

The dishes looked nice but the sausages in the big breakfast tasted as if they had gone off. I mentioned it to the staff and all they did was apologize.

Lovely staff, great effort on their behalf.Food was just terrible though, priced like Charley Noble's, but really poor effort. Ordered the fish and chip, got an uncutable chunk of rubber, was 2/3 oily batter 1/3 rubber.

Food was fine, chicken wings were expensive for the portion size but tasty enough. The service was atrocious, the worst we experienced in all of NZ. Staff ignored us when we arrived. They ran out of water jugs (possibly because they weren't clearing tables). They wouldn't make changes to dishes (mash to chips) and said there would be a charge but then couldn't say what the charge would be. The other eatery in the hotel was closed both nights we stayed and it was lucky it was as the staff definitely couldn't cope. Shame as the setting itself is cool.

Not the best experience. We have been coming here for years as regular travelers. Unfriendly and unhelpful service. Coffee wasn't good so we sorted it with sugar. Had to ask for the sugar and then no spoons to even stir it. No point asking for a change to a meal....they won't do it. Not impressed...we won't be back. This used to be an awesome place to eat and chill out.
