Something always amiss- in service (there when you don’t need them and not there when you do), and in product range (a dozen items I needed and they didn’t have them). Almost a good store, but not quite.

I recently purchased a Merino Buff from these guys, using a gift card that was purchased at the Hamilton shop. Being unable to get to Auckland, I rang them and they had to order it in specially, which only took a few days. I sent the gift card to them and they duly sent it to me WITH a nice gift by way of an apology for the delay! This was unexpected, unnecessary but totally appreciated! During the course of this transaction, I had to phone them a few times (just because of them having to order it and me having to send them the card etc) and I have to say that every staff member I spoke to was just brilliant - very helpful and absolutely customer focussed. I cannot recommend H&F Botany highly enough. Top marks! I'll be making a point of buying from them in person whenever I'm in Auckland. Sincerest thanks to the whole team. JT, Hamilton. :-)

Anywhere that says it's not store policy to give refunds" doesn't deserve your business. They don't understand consumer law and if a product they sell you breaks

I like my fishing but this time I bought a bb gun as I'm retired and getting more vulnerable i wanted a way to protect myself and my partner and the gas powered bb guns are quite powerful the guys were very helpful and knowledgeable
