Cedar Spas

We were in the market for a cedar spa/hot tub to complement our japanese garden. After a bit of research we discovered hot tubs literally heat the water with a fire and given we were moving to Nelson which had recently had a major wildfire, we were hesitant to go down that route. We had to search for some time to find Paradise Hot Tubs who offered a spa pool (heat pump and motor powered) with the cedar panelled look we were after. There were several delays to placing the order after receiving the quote from Mike Lee, covid lockdowns, work uncertainty etc. But we eventually placed the order and were reminded of the 12 - 14 week lead time required. Delays in the supply chain saw the lead time expand to 16 weeks, then 20. We accepted the delays as part of post covid existence and eventually our pool arrived. The smell, the look, the feel, was perfect.The instructions on set up were easy to follow and I managed it all on my own without too much trouble once I figured out the base the engine was attached to was not attached to the cover, it was a lot easier to manipulate and place. The pool itself is manufactured to an exceptionally high standard, Mike Lee was true to his word, the spa pool is the best I've ever seen and it's exactly what he promised. I can not recommend his work highly enough.

After some research and recommendations, I decided to go with Paradise Hot Tubs (support NZ made!) and I have not been disappointed. I wanted a cedar hot tub rather than the plastic spas, as I love the Scandinavian hot tub - or traditional Japanese onsen - look. It's chlorine-free using the Silver Cove system, and the old water can be emptied onto the garden, as it's free of harmful chemicals. I love that it has a traditional cedar look outside, with the benefits of a moulded black shell inside. The spa was beautifully made and arrived well paced with excellent instructions taped to every part.

Very happy I chose a Paradise hot tub. The tub itself is amazing, quality construction and feels divine to be in, submerged to your neck with a beautiful cedar fragrance wafting about. Set up was so easy, the instructions are super clear to follow with everything labelled. They really have thought of everything. The product support, including the after sales service (not that I have had any issues, just a query or two) is second to none. They are always quick to respond with friendly advice. Thanks Mike and team, loving my tub.

Very happy with hot pool use it most nights always great way to end the night helps with sleep and an investment in health. Mike was great to deal with highly recommend.

Mike was amazing to work with all the way from helping us pick the right tub options for us to answering our questions for site prep to arranging shipping of our hot tub…earlier than we were expecting! Now that we have it….we use it everyday. Love our paradise hot tub! Highly recommend.

Great tubs and very easy process. Mikes team delivered ahead of schedule and we are so happy with the tub. Beautiful piece of garden art and excellent way to spend an evening after a long hard day. Steps essential btw. Treat yourself and get one.

We purchased the Air Spa. Very impressed with the workmanship and the final appearance of the cedar. Also the size is perfect, exactly what we were after! Mike was very good to deal with, spa turned up on time and was packaged very well for delivery, would definitely deal with Mike again if we purchased another spa. We are very happy with the product, it looks amazing, thank you!

I WISH I HAD NEVER BOUGHT FROM PARADISE HOT TUBS :( Bought a brand new large cedar hot tub on 30 July 2021.It has never worked correctly.• First, one of the jets was not working.• Then, one of the jet hoses started leaking.• Then, both pump valves failed and started leaking.• Then another jet hose started leaking.In December 2022, after over a year of trying to remedy the problems with Mike Lee (the owner of Paradise Hot Tubs), he finally agreed to refund me and pickup the tub.He refunded half of the money and promised to refund the other half by the end of January.That never happened.I followed up with him in February 2023, and he said he couldn’t pay me what he owes me and couldn’t pick up the tub. Instead, he said the only option was to sell it on TradeMe and asked me to take photos of the tub for the listing. I gave him the photos, but told him not to post my personal information.He listed the tub three separate times, but no one bought it. The third time, he put my personal phone number on the listing (although I had specifically asked him not to) and people started calling and texting me directly.Now Mike says he wants to try to sell it for less than what he owes me and wants me to be the one to take the loss of money.I wish I had never bought from Paradise Hot Tubs.

Thanks Mike & PT team for a quality product. Beautifully crafted cedar cladding and awesome stainless steel burner, looks very sophisticated. We are extremely pleased with our purchase and took it out for its first spin yesterday 9/8/21(we didn't want to get out). I had great fun in the preparation, i.e. filling the burner, lighting stoking etc. made the whole experience worth while once soaking. I would not hesitate to recommend PT to anyone. 11 out of 10 guys, thanks again.
