Quail Cafe
Really nice setting, Staff where very attentive. We arrived 20 mins after opening and it was at around 85% full, surprisingly the food came out in reasonable time. I ordered the Turkish eggs and rate it a 8.5/10, it would have been a 9 if the Yoghurt was closer to room temp. The cold yogurt cooled the warm parts of the dish quite quickly.

The Quail is always such a pleasure to visit! The food/Coffee is consistently amazing. Very friendly and accommodating staff. The location is beautiful, nice to walk the quarry gardens! Hands down the best cafe in Whangarei.

Quail Cafe
Yesterday was a busy day with large bookings and many indoor tables while it rained outside. The view is charming, decor modern, food is incredible and their team a true delight! Regardless of the line of people to order, endless food flying out the kitchen and cabinet the staff were happy, uplifting, bubbly, working hard and very professional in what could have been a stressful environment. Clearly all of Whangarei and out-of-towners as myself enjoy this high quality food and service. Thank you team!

Beautiful Location !! The service was amazing, the staff are very kind, helpful with what is recommended. I loved every everything ! The FOOD ! Is sooooo Devine & filling especially with their reasonable prices ! I love love love ❤️ I highly recommend to those who are in town or visitng !Lots of parking ! Outdoors is beautiful, the sound of the waters flowing down the stream !! I love Quail ! I know where to come my next trip to Whangarei !!!

Whangarei's hidden gem! I was today years old when I found this place. After 47 years living in the area! What a beautiful cafe and garden's, best coffee in northland, the food is well presented, and the taste is amazing. Friendly welcoming staff and just a great atmosphere.

Great to see the cafe back up and running again. Very popular cafe. Expect to wait at peak times. Carpark freshly sealed which is a vast improvement, but alas there are now less spaces. Pleasant team. Well presented menu and cabinet options. Takeaway or eat in.

It was a busy weekend day at the cafe so service was slow. However, we were warned and elected to wait. The staff were patient(!) and charming. Food was fabulous - tasty and unusual food combinations. My friend mourned the lack of menu items for a keto diet and so her meal was pretty standard and I ate her toast! My win! I didn't think it was super expensive given the delicious food, great service and lovely warm, sunny setting, but on my budget, it's a special event" venue."
