Our first time at Solera for a birthday celebration, certainly won't be our last.Great drinks menu, AMAZING food and an awe inspiring brigade. The food is innovative and interesting but most importantly delicious. Highly recommend sitting at the chef's pass.

Our experience did not disappoint. My Aperol Spritzer was on point and the Chef’s menu was divine, topped with friendly service. A great selection of dishes, the stand out being the small plates - the balance of flavours and ingredients is masterful. We completed our meal with the custard tart which was perfect, leaving my palate refreshing. A must try dining experience.

This was the most incredible food I have ever had. Hands down THE BEST restaurant in Bay of Plenty. The attention to detail, the amazing service (shoutout to Sam our amazing waiter), beautiful ambience and most importantly how brave and daring they are with their menu and truly trying risky things and challenging your palate. It’s hard to pick the highlight, but if I had to it would be the chocolate brownie with goats milk sorbet; it was sweet, soft and predictable but then also stanky (in the best way), deep and bold with the goats milk sorbet. Also that basque cheesecake with parmesan and truffle is NEXT LEVEL and is an example of a true culinary experience like no other. I can’t wait to come again in the new year! :)

Great cocktails - but food was definitely a disappointment, firstly, food was overall priced, we ordered a tofu dish that was priced $6 each, thought it would be a sharing dish and turned out it was for one piece of tofu, we are a group of 4 so they recommended 4 pieces, each slice was a real thin block of tofu, flavour was just alright. We also ordered a couple of ‘main’ dishes, we thought they were mains since they were priced at $30 on average. And the portions were tini wini, and we didn’t really enjoy the flavour as they were really a bit salty even for me, I like hot and salty food normally. Best dish was those natural oysters, mixed with cream cheese and celery sauce, loved them. Plus 15% surcharge for holiday. We ended up getting take away pastas afterwards from another restaurant on the same street. What a night in Tauranga

My boyfriend and I stumbled upon this gem while searching for an afternoon craft cocktail while on holiday. We sat at the bar and had several amazing cocktails and oysters while chatting with the friendly bartender. We decided to come back for dinner. What a great decision. We split a bottle of red and had the Chef’s choice which was a 4 course journey through their menu. I’m pescatarian and my bf isn’t but they made us each a different course and it was unreal. The cauliflower dish was the best thing I have ever tasted in my life.HIGHLY recommend this place. The service is next level and the food is fantastic.

A wonderful gastronomic experience. Need to choose 2 or 3 dishes each at least. So much flavour. Yum yum Can't recommend more highly

We started the evening showing up two hours late because I’d made the booking ages ago and as it turns out, can’t read. The host was exceptionally kind and gracious “never mind, you’re here now” and he was just spectacular the whole night. The food is phenomenal, a very very confident chef utilising very bold flavours - there was not a single dish that wasn’t beyond delicious. Even though I live in Auckland, I’ll readily drive to Tauranga and back in a night just to eat here again.

I have dined in some of the best and I would put this place amongst the best. From the time you arrive at the door, the service, the food, the taste and the atmosphere. This place has it all. Sit at the bar and watch the chefs at work. They are great. Thank you all.

Great ambiance and dining experience! Will definitely come back and try other food on their menu. Sharing plates at a reasonable prices. Offers wine by the glass that usually sells by bottle at other places. Sat at the Chef’s Pass and had a show!
