Purchasing our first home is a stressful experience at the best of times. Squirrel made this 10x worse. With withholding information and not communicating they cost us more money. We were denied finance and told the reason was our personal circumstances. We have now purchased a house double the price, through the same lender but just dealing direct. Our finance is approved. Clearly not our circumstances but the way squirrel dealt with this and the lack of communication.Would not recommend this firm to my worst enemy. Avoid at all costs

Sometimes he was able to organize better-than-advertised rates for us, other times cash contributions from the banks; always went the extra mile, laid out all the options, and gave transparent advice where applicable.
