Sadly Mangawhai Pizza fails to deliver the basics. I found the cheese content disproportionate to the other ingredients. The pepperoni on our pizza was oddly hidden beneath the thick layer of strongly flavoured, greasy cheese, rather than on top. The first bite caused the toppings to slide off - not a great start. I found the base a bit too bread-like. I should have recognised the warning signs for what was to come when I was asked if I wanted chips with my pizza. Not a place I’d recommend.

Top notch pizza & pasta! Generous serving sizes definitely bigger than we expected for the price. We will definitely be back. Best chicken, cranberry & Brie pizza Ive ever had (and I worked in a pizzeria for 3 years) :) 10/10

Pizza was absolutely delicious! Not stingy at all with the toppings and really well priced. Staff were lovely as well. Definitely recommend if you're staying in Mangawhai or even driving through.

Great food. Fast service even with our large group. The kids loved the blackboard table that they could draw on with chalk. My only feedback would be that guests are required to wear masks upon entry while staff do not and not impressed by the sign stating extra surcharge on a public holiday due to Cindy putting wages up". That increase was for a living wage and I would think management would support a decent wage for their staff. I'm quite happy to pay a surcharge to support this."

Love these guys. They do awesome, tasty, filling pizzas with good ingredients. We are fans of the pepperoni and the Hawaiian, meatlovers was good too. I haven't tried their pastas yet, but we got their chips last time. Perfectly cooked, fluffy, maybe a bit too much salt for my husband's taste but I liked them! :) Oh and the staff are super friendly and nice to chat to. Thanks team!

Staff were friendly but inexperienced. Ordered drinks and one was no to our liking and had to order 3 times for a replacement from 2 different staff. After waiting over 45 mins for our food we learned that it was never placed to the kitchen. They did cover the cost for the food that was eventually received.
