Harbourside Motor Lodge

We had a fantastic stay at Harbourside lodge and couldn’t recommend it more. Very comfortable, clean, modern rooms, generous breakfast - and stunning views of the harbour. What really made our stay was the super friendly managers, who were very welcoming, and even helped us out when we had a mishap with our camping gear. Thanks again for having us!

We really enjoyed our stay at the Harbourside Motor Lodge. David and Cathy were so welcoming and it was a joy to meet them. We stayed in one of the rooms facing the courtyard. It was nice being able to have the sliding door open and feel safe and secure. The room was well thought out with great sized drinking glasses, good plates, a microwave and a powerful hairdryer - to name just a few things. Oh and the blackout curtains are incredible! We wanted for nothing. What I especially loved was the breakfast. So much to choose from as part of your room rate, but the cooked breakfast was a feast too and cooked to perfection. The lodge isn't far from the city centre and is an easy walk. When we are back in Nelson we will return to the Harbourside Motor Lodge.

Great place to stay in Nelson. The owners are amazing hosts, warm and friendly without being to overwhelming.The room are well equipped, not hugh but good size. They are clean and nicely finished.The breakfast is good.Plenty of parking.You are in the harbour industrial area, there are a few good places to eat very close by, but the walk into the main city area is only 10-15 minutes and a very nice walk on the walking paths.

Great accommodation with splendid views of the marina. 15 minute walk to town shops. Excellent breakfast with stay. Comfortable bed and quality linen.Situated in the Port area of Nelson. Restaurant available by the marina if you don't want to drive for dinner and drinks.

Our room smelt amazing and the cleanliness was excellent. View beautiful and local restaurant The Anchor was handy, super busy but delicious food. Laundry facility was good but not worth the $8.00. Breakfast was ok but don’t expect anything other than toast and cereal. Would stay again.

Great spot over looking the water. Well appointed room. Good shower. Only downside is that there is no separation from the neighbour's and they can access our deck so we had to close window for security.

Such a quaint little place, but ran so efficiently! Great start to the day with the complimentary breakfast, its basic but all you need. coffee was especially good. Juan was always friendly and we found absolutely no hassles with check in and altering our booking. Room was very clean. Bed was comfy and having the dark blockout blinds was lovely for sleep in. The Harbourside is set away from the town and because of this there is no traffic noise..aah bliss.

The room was very clean, showers were hot, breakfast had a nice selection of options and the kitchen in the room was well appointed.

Rooms spotless, spacious, false advertised as cooked breakfast on line and in rooms, manager when asked had no idea, unfriendly, no engaging conversation, living of the good will of previous owners. The kitchen was the so discussing with food scraps and dirty dished stacked up.
