If you have ever dreamt of building your dream boat, to use for years to come, then I strongly suggest NOT spending your hard earned money here!Frews Marine are great up until you have an issue or the finishing date is looming.My boat started falling apart on the tow home from their workshop, and we only got as far as Queenstown before we started having issues with the console flexing and coming loose, then the front panel fell off.Kirsten (owner) told us to remove the loose panel and continue our journey home to the central north island, then during this time the communication from Frews Marine stopped. We had to rope the console down to get it home, how embarrassing!They then expected me to return the vessel to Invercargill from the central north island at my expense! Both Ways!!This was a direct cost they where not willing to wear.I finally got Brendon (owner) on the phone after months of attempted communication, Brendon was extremely abusive and aggressive, after a-lot of back and forth over MONTHS of emails and the inability to use the boat, he finally agreed to have it repaired locally, and provided insight and direction on how they had repaired others boats and agreed to pay for this.I’m still yet to be reimbursed for this !And then just when you think it couldn’t get any worse they then used the (authorised) repair invoice in an attempt to void my warranty as a Hull Modification! It’s a bolt on console! This repair was carried out by a very very reputable local company.This isn’t a minor issue, the entire console flexed enough to break the Windscreen, It’s so dangerous!There are also other issues of a substantial nature with the boat, honestly I wouldn’t go near this brand EVER again, even if it was 50% cheaper.To my knowledge, they no longer make my model (F18 CC), I assume due to the others vessels with the same issues as mine and yet they still refuse to come to the party!I’ve posted some photos of the console roped up to get it home, and now the pitting it has when it’s less than 18 months old.
