Awesome atmosphere, staff were great. But the food was average at its best. The flat bread was delicious. I got the Caesar salad and my poached egg was more of a boiled egg, hard as a rock. Ham instead of bacon. My partners side salad was just roughly chopped with hardly any dressing. Chips on the other 3 meals were all undercooked

Sorry to post but food was absolutely terrible and staff made no effort to correct. The fish in the fish and chips stunk fishy, the batter had a layer of flour and presumably paprika but it just made it slimy and flourly. It was so bad that my son gave it two thumbs down and didn't eat it. He loves fish and chips.

This is a hidden gem for private functions in Wellington! We had our kids' joint 12th & 13th birthdays here, hired half the venue and it was the perfect mix of party for teens and space for adults. Dance floor, pool table, they let us bring our own music, we set up a table tennis table, and hired a photo booth. And best of all, fully catered and bar tab, they went above and beyond to cater to our wide range of dietary needs! Amazing manager with top communication and friendly professionalism. I hope more people discover this place.

Party of 7 for weeknight dinner. Some meals were OK, a couple were good. Service was slow, server started out OK but gave us little attention towards the end of the meal.The quiz night was also very loud and disturbed our conversation.

Great experience at Iron Horse Miramar! We had a large group the other week, and they were wonderfully accommodating. Food was tasty and drinks were good. Thanks to the team there for such a good time!

You only get 4 small pieces now if you get the spare ribs - used to be a decent amount back when it was Gasworks (and there was an option for getting a rack too). I guess that's changing times for you.Food was tasty enough, but the cheeseburger was a bit underwhelming especially for the price. Nice they've kept the kids meal special with drink and sundae included.Service was good. Didn't wait too long for food (was mid week). Waiter was friendly and attentive - great stuff, thanks.

It is such a shame that this place is nice and inviting but the food is really letting it down. It has gone downhill from a year ago. I have ordered the Ceasar Salad a couple of times before and has been really nice but this time the salad leaves were wilted, the dressing tasted extremely fishy and wasn't the usual creamy dressing. The chicken tasted boiled and just charred on the outside as a finish and the egg yolk was a pale yellow obviously showing it was not fresh. Extremely disappointing as I couldn't eat it. And it's also really sad that there a lot of bad reviews about the food over the past year but nothing seems to have changed. Are these even being read? I think if they invested in a really good chef and spent a bit more on quality ingredients that people will be lining up to eat at the Iron Horse. I hope they do something soon as it's nice to have a local, but if you can't rely on the food then it will continue to lose customers.

Food was good then average for me.We started with chicken wings, really good but waitress gave no napkins or wipes, it's a messy dish using fingers so that was a bit annoying .Next we had pork ribs and scotch fillet steak, a different waitress delivered the food and did bring wipes so oversight by the first waitress.Ribs delicious, scotch fillet chewy so wasn't impressed as it's $40, they served the steak with sauce on top of the chips which then make the chips soggy.Overall ok but I would have to think twice and read really good reviews before I returned.Overall 3 stars for me.

We went on a quiet night for something simple. The Starter sized Nachos were definitely a main meal, & the Ribs & Wings with plenty of hot chips were a tum filling treat. A little cold sitting out the back near pool table.
