I have been like a gypsy with my hairdressers in the past, always moving on as no one gets my hair and never really built a relationship with anyone enough to encourage me to return. Came to Modo nearly a year ago before my wedding and have never gone anywhere else since. The whole salon has a great vibe, love their products and coffee! (and up to date mags to read even!) Mel in particular is great with my temperamentally thin hair and she is super fussy which I appreciate. Definitely recommend Modo, and Mel. Thanks team :)

When calling to book my appointment a few months ago, I explained that I have dry, frizzy hair with really tight curls which was in a terrible state after lockdown and asked if they had a staff member who was experienced with this, and I was assured there was. However, the appointment wasn't good - my hair ended up being cut a lot shorter than the trim I was expecting, no helpful advice was offered (I was told to go to an African American hair shop instead), and it seemed like the staff knew I was a 'lost cause', as they didn't even bother trying to book me in for another appointment. I was also disappointed at a few lighthearted remarks that were made - normally, I would laugh them off, but not when I was genuinely seeking help from a professional business. Overall, the facilities were clean and nice, and I'm sure they are fine with clients with straighter hair, but I wouldn't recommend for anyone with curls.

What can I say. The owner is pretty well known and well respected and I can’t get a better haircut anywhere else in town. Always get a nice coffee and the staff are all cheerful and friendly.

It was my first visit to Modo today and it won't be my last. The fabulous Nicky, who I have been lucky enough to have cut my hair before, worked her magic, did a thorough consult and spent the time needed to get a great result. I am more than happy! The salon itself is lovely and a warm welcoming environment with loads of free parking right outside. If you're looking for a great cut from a team of professionals, you've found your salon.

I love MODO Design. My stylist Mel was very attentive and professional. I love how she consulted with me, showing me photos so I could communicate my preferred style. I loved the friendly atmosphere. They have everything you need to get the hair of your dreams. The staff at MODO Design are very dedicated to making sure you are happy with the result. A+++ Customer service.

I love going to Modo for Keratin Treatments to smooth and tame my frizzy, curly hair and to get my hair styled for special occasions. Melissa does an amazing job- excellent service and top quality chats. The staff are always friendly and the Hot Chocolates are definitely a perk. Would highly recommend a visit.
