Glacier Southern Lakes Helicopters

Went of the Heli - Cruise - Heli with Glacier Southern Lakes and had the most amazing time. From start to finish was well looked after by the team and Stu the pilot shared his knowledge of the area with us. He even took some photos while we were on the glacier that turned out great! The cruise once we landed in Milford with Southern Discoveries was also amazing and the change over between companies was so easy and we were told where to be and when. Highly recommend this package for anyone coming to Queenstown as it really highlights all the must sees for Queenstown and Milford. Plus the whole trip only took 4 hours so had time to squeeze in other activities before hand ☺️

My first helicopter ride and what a place to do it, Queenstown really turned it on for us yesterday. Especially enjoyed landing near the glacier and enjoying a glass of champagne for my Birthday! Thank you Stu and the Glacier Southern Lakes Helicopter team for such a memorable experience. I will definitely be back.

We had an amazing time on a helicopter tour with these guys.We booked the sundown helicopter tour about 24 hours or so prior to departure online and had things confirmed the next day.Everyone was lovely, Luke the pilot was great and knew loads about the surrounding areaThe helicopter flight itself was stunning, with great views of Queenstown and the Remarkables.The alpine landing was pretty lengthy, with spectacular views across the lake and the surrounding mountains.It's definitely a must do if visiting Queenstown!

Amazing trip!! Such a pity we didn’t get to fly over the Remarkables because of the wind but still an amazing flight and drinking champagne served by our great pilot on top of Queenstown hill was a nice touch!

The BEST way to see Milford - by air and by sea, with the best!Wow… what a (half)day! Michael was an excellent helicopter pilot (with many years of experience and stories to share). He keenly navigated take offs, landings, and tighter spaces above mountains. He also provided some Milford Sound history and points of interest. And, landing on the glacier then taking photos of each couple (and providing a printed copy upon landing) was the icing on top. We would highly recommend Glacier Southern Lakes Helicopters (and our hotel does too)!

My Husband and I did the Milford Sound + Cruise on our Honeymoon and we could not recommend Glacier Southern Lakes Helicopters anymore! An incredible bucket list experience!!!

We booked this helicopter tour plus a Milford Sound cruise last minute. We were suppose to do a plane flight and Milford Sound. I’m glad we had the plane flight canceled and had to rebook a helicopter tour instead. This was such a cool experience landing up in the mountains on a glacier. We had Jamie as our pilot. He was very knowledgeable about the entire area and was a great guide. Everything was so easy with GSLH setting everything up, showing us where to go. We also had Jhalak (sorry if I misspelled the name) as our driver. She was great as well. The whole company was pleasant to work with.

Excellent trip to the glacier (Tyndall) with our most knowledgeable, helpful, courteous, calm and engaging pilot, Luke. We were also most fortunate to be selected to occupy the cockpit seats next to Luke.

Everyone so lovely there.I had the most incredible experience with Glacier southern lakes helicopter .We up to the top of the remarkable .We land on the snow and had a drink up there.The skilled and knowledgeable pilots made the journey even more memorable.

What an amazing experience, I knew from the second I saw the tour description (50 min glacier experience) it would amazing. Certainly did not disappoint. I was also really impressed with the whole operation. The ground staff were very friendly and coordinated with during the day to give updates about the weather conditions so that we have a great flight. Our pilot was very professional and super experienced with alpine flying with over 16 years of experience. The aircraft was a brand new airbus helicopter and everything was in mint condition. I look forward to taking other tours with this company in the future. Thank you Glacier Southern Lakes for an awesome experience!
