This is Auckland's answer to the airport-to-city rides by rail, that can be found in many oversea cities. But unlike these the bus drivers can add another dimension to the service, not necessarily positive, eg. late buses, rude and/or temperamental, even hostile, male drivers.Fortunately and to their credit, the NZ public has in the past stood up for their fellow-passengers, against the display of unbridled aggression (bullying) from bad-tempered drivers. Most of the time though, the drivers behave.However if this happens to international tourists it will derail tourism in AK (& NZ) as bad news travel like wildfire especially in China. When you see how good any kind of service is overseas, even a single, bad incident is one too many for 'Godzone'.
