You won't be disappointed with this choice. Delicious food and friendly service. Big range in menu, something for everyone. Cafe type seating, so not your typical restaurant seating. Our highlight - the Sushi for kids was mini sized. The kids loved it.

Service was not good. Staff was not helpful. Would not recommend.Edit 1: this happened on 18/03 around 2030. I wanted to pay for my meal on two separate cards and staff didn't let me do so.My vegetarian friend ordered a tofu fish which did not have any tofu in it. Both of us were dissatisfied and disappointed.

Had a lovely lunch, the pricing is very good, the food is freshly prepared and the salmon was super fresh and melt in your mouth . The decor is not the best but I go to food places for food and we definitely coming back !

Great customer service and overall food was nice. We had a bit of a wait for our food to come out though and were the first patrons to arrive for the dinner service. However restaurant was full of diners. Our table was situated near the front entrance and the door was open so it was a bit chilly at times until they decided to close it.

No problem seating us, ordered lunch and received it very quickly.Clean and tidy restaurant in a well kept old building. It's very pretty interior.Lovely staff and we throughly enjoyed our lunch!

Had lunch here recently. Love the ambience.We had Chicken Katsu Bento & Chicken Katsu Curry Rice. Amazing presentation and not too pricey.Would love to give a 5, but....I'm sure the rice weren't Japanese Rice (Uruchimai) and we find the food very salty.

Enjoyed the meal, but when I order karage chicken I expect the chicken to be covered in a hot Chilli sauce. The salad accompaniments where small and somewhat tired with a sparsity of mayonnaise. The wait staff where excellent especially the one in the moon boot. Would go here again but only if I couldn't get a reservation in the other japanese restaurant.

Pretty good Japanese place in whanganui. For a Tuesday, it was reasonably busy at lunch time. Bento boxes a little pricey at $30 but good portion sizes, overall we left satisfied. Nice building, spacious seating.
