It is good to have this free parking however it is fully occupied most of days before 8 am. No control on who is using and for how long.

My working hours are relatively flexible. I have experimented with parking at albany station at different times lot. The first row besides disabled parking Spaces was full before 5 o 'clock, the second row where I usually parked always full between 5 to 6.05. The third to fifth rows and the side car park be full b4 6:45 in most cases. The rest will be full between 7:15-7:45 depends on which day.

If you are looking to park between 7.30am and around 2.00pm on a weekday, don't bother. Just use the paid parking Auckland Transport kindly provided on the surrounding streets rather than extending the carpark like they should have done.(Wilson carpark around the corner is almost always cheaper if you need to do this but I wouldn't recommend either.)

This station is really nice, especially with the new update of the only-bus ramp to the motorway. Overall clean and runs well.

You need to get here by 7.15am at the latest if you want to get a park. So definitely needs more carpark please. Otherwise you need to go across the road and pay for parking on top of your bus fare. Some days I am forced to drive to the city if I miss my morning alarm.

Finding a parking spot is a considerable challenge after 8am on weekdays. It’s also time to build easier access to Oteha Valley Road heading towards East Coast Road as currently you have to make a U-turn at a traffic circle.14/12/2022Since writing this initial review a new $4/day parking area has opened up across the road. It is affordable and I have never struggled to find a spot.That s a big help, thank you.
