Distinction Dunedin Hotel

We've just had a fabulous 3 nights at the Distinction Dunedin and couldn't be happier. Everything from the well-appointed suite with huge bathroom, superior bedding, extras like toaster and coffee machine (pods) and super comfy couch, to the unpretentious & warm reception, friendly & helpful room staff and outstanding service in the restaurant that had great atmosphere and some of the most delicious food we've had the pleasure of eating. Special thanks to Tom who did a fabulous job of looking after us throughout our Distinction dining experience, despite there being a couple of large groups also dining there on both evenings.It's seriously refreshing to have such a warm, friendly and welcome experience in a big hotel like this. It will certainly keep us coming back and recommending to others.

10/10 would recommend to anyone wanting a luxury stay in a convenient location.Everything about the room was absolutely immaculate, Cleanliness was also immaculate.Helpful friendly staff at reception who actually smile and we're more than happy to give me directionsSeriously could not fault this place at all!

I have been traveling for over 15 years and stayed at many Hotels both here in NZ and around the world. I can say the Distinction is without a doubt one of the best places I have ever stayed at. The first time I have ever had a great sleep at a hotel, their beds and pillows are outstanding. The team were amazing , I arrived at midnight to be greeted with a friendly smile and a easy check in. The next morning the young lady in the restaurant and for both days I stayed were outstanding. She confirmed for me that good old fashion service, manners and genuine interest in their job still exists! Sorry I can't recall your name but I hope you see this message because you are a outstanding employee. The breakfast menu was excellent too. If you wanting to stay at very cool Hotel where you will be well looked after make a booking now!

Great hotel. Lots of little things I appreciated. Ironing board and iron, overlapping curtains so you can block all light, night light in the bathroom, excellent bed, spare toiletries etc.

Late post - Our family of 4 booked here in late December and were so happy about our stay. Our room was very cosy, clean, stylish, comfortable and very family-friendly (having plates, cutlery, microwave and even washing machine). We will definitely stay here again whenever we're in Dunedin.

The best hotel in Dunedin so far! It has a good size rooms, very modern. Additionally, every room had its own washing machine and dryer, which is very handy.

They've done a really great job on recovering the old post office. One of the nicest, if not the nicest hotel I've stayed in. Staff are extremely friendly and helpful. They have been exceptional when assisting with food allergies.

Always a comfortable stay. Excellent bed, good food at Parcels, the in-house restaurant. Good sized room. Parking at multi level parking building next door. One of the most memorable things was the service from Anna in the restaurant. Always smiling and attentive. Well done.
