This is an excellent Cafe, the food is outstanding and the service was warm & friendly. The hash sticks were a favourite.We are looking forward to going back and trying some other items from the menu

Delicious food, well presented and excellent service. Serving sized perfect for 3 courses and the deserts are great, recommend the cheesecake.It's not far off the 'main road, and worthy of the slight detour if your in the area. Highly recommended.

We went to the forge for my daughters birthday brunch. Excellent service, nothing was too much trouble. Lovely and spacious, great for a larger group. Fantastic coffee.

Dined here twice in the last six weeks. Didn't have reservations for our lunch group of eight. Was really busy but they rearranged tables to fit us in, was before midday so probably helped. Great Fish and Chips. Visited again for dinner, with reservations this time. Presentation was awesome as was the service. The Pork Belly was delicious. The Cointreau Cheesecake was devine. They change the cheesecake flavour regularly, so I need to return soon. Definitely worth a stop.

Great menu, lovely staff, delicious food. The Forge is consistently a great place to stop and enjoy wonderful food in a beautiful setting. The staff are really wonderful and the owner Treena is warm and welcoming, also she knows what great hospitality looks like and executes it so very well. Still fantastic.

The manager was very rude and cannot cope with large parties. Rude to the guests and made snarky comments. I would definitely not go there again and will never recommend to others. You would think a polite large group of people spending a lot of money would of had good service.

A rural delight. The welcome mat was extended with warm smiles as I approached the front entrance. Our hostess engaging & the service we recieved beyond measure.Menu options to suit all, despite the supply chain issues we are all well aware of.This is definitely a destination worthy of consideration & I highly recommend. For my visit I elected the Old Te Aroha highway making it a scenic trip enjoying the quiet of country roads.Thank you Old Forge Kitchen for providing a stunning venue for our wee family reunion.
