Trap! Beware! If you don't want to spoil your trip, stay away from Shoal Bay Rentals. They ask 100% advance and thats it. You are stuck with their poor service. Val from this company had arranged a car at the airport but that car was nowhere to be seen. She wasn't contactable either. Nor do they have anyone at airport/ferry to sort any issues. I wasted 2.5 hours waiting to contact her. I reached her office spending 60 dollars from my own pocket. Her office was closed too. Finally I took a car that was parked at her office and spent 30 dollars on fuel to fill it up. This car had worn-out tyres and kept skidding while driving. Till date Val has neither apologized nor reimbursed me my 90 dollars. Worst experience ever!

Best experience renting a car we have ever had. It was all so easy, with no extra expenses or catches, and no fuss over nitty gritty details as we've come to expect after renting other cars in the past. Just a simple wonderful service with great people behind it.

Renting was very simple and straightforward. Although at the pricy end at $75/day.Pick up and drop off was straightforward.Reliable, tidy car.Wasnt expecting the cut, rotten onions underneath the front passenger seat, which we found when we were clearing the car at the drop off point.Was trying to get rid of the terrible smell all week long. Unacceptable really. If you don't start to audit what your detailing crew are doing start expecting more low star reviews. An apology would be professional.
