We spent a couple of days at Castle Claremont with a group of friends in October. The house and grounds are very impressive and Rob's care in creating a beautiful environment is evident. On our arrival we were greeted with a roaring log fire and candles in every room, a substantial breakfast and facilities for preparing our meals. Rob is a very kind and thoughtful host and we enjoyed talking to him and listening to his stories of the history of the place. We'll definitely be back and recommend it highly.

A corner of Heaven. The hosts are very welcoming and pay attention to every aspect in order to create a holistic and authentic experience for their guests. The beautiful gothic revival house is a historic gem filled with stories! It is artfully decorated on the interior and feels very cozy. The view of the garden and mountains is superbe. The garden is skillfully taken care of. One of my favorite places in New Zealand and a truly unique experience. A must for your stay in Timaru or anywhere in the region!

You can just feel the grandure as you asend the lovely covered drive to arrive at what can only be explaind as magnificent. The manour house in all its glory.The grounds to walk through and the well furnished interior coupled with possibly a special tour with your host Robert. Can you ask for more? Why, its time to relax and just soak it all in.Thank you Rob.
