Absolutely appalling rude reception staff, went in with my 2 Yr old after waiting for 9 days for an appointment, 45 mins wait time past the appointment (which I understand to a degree) but then when the doc finally called my toddlers name another lady with the same name jumped in and the receptionist just gave me a smug smile and shrugged her shoulders.... Another 20 mins later we finally got in to see a doc who was rude and dismissive! No wonder the hospital is under so much stress when the clinics are so poorly run!!

Could not book the first appointment because doctors went for lunch. They gave me phone number to call back tomorrow morning to book again. That's fine. They had an appointment at 12pm tomorrow for me. I came in and waited 15 mins. The receptionist said the appointed doctor supposed to be back from lunch by now. I asked if was there anyone else can handle my case but both doctors went for lunch.

After coming down with some head-cold symptoms on Thurs 29/10/20, I booked in for a COVID test through the COVID hotline. This went well - the person I talked to was friendly and professional, and she booked me in for the first appointment available on Fri 30/10/20. She took down my vehicle info and let me know that all I had to do was show up and wait in the car for a nurse to come out and do the nasal swab.Admittedly, I turned up about two minutes before my appointment at 9am and I wish I’d been earlier than that, so that’s my fault. Anyway, I waited as I was instructed to... for around 45 minutes. I then called their reception desk fron my car to ask if I’d gotten the appointment time correct. The receptionist was short with me and a little bit rude; didn’t offer an apology or explanation for the delay. I updated some personal info and was told someone would be out to see me shortly. The test took less than a minute, and I was out of there just before 10am, after an appointment that was supposed to be at 9am. The worst part is that I honestly don’t think I would have been seen if I didn’t call them after I got there. It’s not a good response for something COVID-related and I won’t be going back there for any reason because of this.Edit to add: one staff member informed me that there’s a 24-hour wait for test results, which matches up with what I’ve heard from others. I made a follow-up call after waiting over 24 hours and have now been told it’s a 48-hour wait as if that was always the standard wait time.Another edit to add: over 48 hours later, I still have no result sent to me by anyone at Te Kaika, after calling them twice today (3/11/20) to ask about it. The first call, they said they’d already sent me my result (nope) and I confirmed my phone number with them. I waited, still nothing, so I called again just to be told that they’ve still got a wrong number for me - this is after confirming it when I made the appointment, again when I waited over 45 mins on the morning of my appointment, and again today. I was told my result over the phone, in front of goodness knows who on their end, so that’s a privacy breach. This process was mishandled every step of the way. If I can convince just one person to avoid Te Kaika, I’ll feel better about everything I’ve had to deal with.

So, Pathetic service, booked appointment at 3.45...waiting there from 3.30....unfortunately no call until 4.30,Receptionist so rude attitude...I think this people not well good enough about the time management. If someone delayed 5 minutes they will refuse the appointment...seems not Okay.

Cheap and nasty.Rude reception staff and absolutely incompetent doctors. One example being I had an ACC claim in which I emailed the doctor I saw with all the information he needed to forward to them, I then get a call from ACC weeks later telling me they had received no information about my claim and it was now going to be delayed a further 5 or so weeks because they had to source the information themselves, this all could have been avoided had he actually forwarded the correct information like he said he would. This is only one of MANY stressful encounters I’ve had at this doctors practice. I am now back at my old doctors Aurora and couldn’t be happier with service I receive there.I really feel for people that cannot afford to go elsewhere.DO NOT RECOMMEND.

I had my second Covid swab through Te Kaika recently and they made it so easy! The receptionist was so friendly and efficient, and the process was very straight forward! The drive through process was well-mapped out and so fast! I also had a really nice nurse.

Very upset with service today. My son had a 1.30pm phone consultation. I did not reach the phone in time, called back immediately, believing Wlwe were still within the appointment time. Was told dr would call me. At 4.30. I rung again. Now 5pm. Have not received consultation. Now will need to visit Urgent Drs and pay exorbitant prices concerning my son. Very disappointing!
