love getting a munch here after work, good quality and good portion sizes, always fast and friendly service from the staff. Can’t understand any of the lyrics but feels like i’m in an anime with the music

I have visited couple of times. I don't know what happened but it seems like they've lost their touch. The staff seems like they are always annoyed and don't want to be doing their work. Same with the food - ramen used to have 'umami', now it's just 'meeehhh'.

On a cold day out in Lower Hutt, we decided a nice warm cup of miso was on the cards.Angry Ramen had been recommended by my daughters, both huge fans of Asian cuisine.We ordered a selection of Sushi, a rice bowl and some miso soup.While the sushi was tasty, it wasn't quite as fresh as I am used to, but it tasted nice and was presented well.The miso was delicious, warm and relaxing, and we also had a glass of apple cider and this was sweet, tart and perfect.While we didn't get the Ramen noodles the rest of the food was fine.

Angry Ramen Lower Hutt
This have been always our favourite place for Japanese cuisine. But I wonder did they change chef or management? They removed the angry fried rice and the food standard drop big time. Especially the ramen we ate earlier, the broth is like not like usual flavourful, is like clear water add in ready paste. The quantity seems lesser also and worst is the egg is not even marinated. The only food that is still good is their sushi.

It had the overall appearance of Japanese ramen although I could tell it was a pseudo version for kiwis. It wasn't horrible, just underwhelming. Like a McDonald's for ramen.

My wife loved the place I just stopped in to pick her up but great atmosphere and for my wife to compliment the food is a big deal as she is born and raised in Japan so she would definitely say if it wasn't

Wonderful customer interaction from the staff. Despite a very busy day, the person behind the counter was interested and focused on getting our order right and was in good humor. It's detour is interesting to those that love magna art, and you find your own table. Young and old were dining for lunch and all food that came out (and quickly) looked delicious. We had a spicy Ramen and a chicken katsu. Exactly what we expected and tasted great. Give this place a go if you want a nice quick lunch with a friend.
