Unfortunately we had a bad experience here this morning and I’m posting a review due to poor handling of our issues when we were there.Firstly there was a misunderstanding when we ordered the coffees so we got the wrong sizes. No big deal but in the scheme of things it’s worth mentioning.Then our food came and one had requested sourdough but it came with multigrain. Again, no big deal but it all adds up.Paid $6.50 to add smoked salmon to scrambled eggs and it’s was hot smoked (would have appreciated if this was specified at the time of ordering) and it was inedible. It tasted like it was going off - had a very strong fishy flavour that salmon doesn’t usually have and was extremely pale in colour. I eat salmon multiple times a week and couldn’t eat this.Then one of us discovered a fly in their iced coffee. It was in a takeaway cup with a lid so hadn’t fallen in there since receiving it. We took it back to receive no apology but they made a fresh one. The next one also had a fly in it again!! And once again there was no apology at all, they just made a fresh one. The staff were very unfazed and unapologetic which was strange.The portions were small and everyone’s order was covered in this nasty basil reduction. Probably to mask the taste of the poor food.The coffee tasted okay though. I’d recommend just grabbing a takeaway coffee here but don’t stop for food. There are much nicer places along the Main Street.

Just had the best eggs bene with salmon ever. Great portions and eggs to perfection. Janet had caramelized pancakes bananas and lashings of bacon.Awesome coffee to wash it down. 5 stars.Cheers Luv Coffee Whangamata.

Tasty food, a chicken and mushroom pie made in their kitchen and a really good Eccles Cake, a rare item these days. A great lunch on a sunny day.

The food was fresh and delicious. I am glad to had the Acai Bowl - it tasted just perfect!

Love this little local, coffee is always good and food is consistently good. Great for vegans as well as they have a selection of vegan food.

Very friendly and attentive staff. Great service with orders read back to customer. You MUST try their toasted cheese scones! They sell dozens of them! Coffee is smooth and delicious. Place always has customers attesting to their popularity.

Visited here during Beach Hop and was amazed on how cool, calm and collected the staff were considering they were so busy.They made us great coffees and the guys were happy with their bacon and eggs.A great decor and would highly recommend visiting if your in the area.
