Eatwells Lookout
MUST DO if you're in New Zealand! The hike is approx. 1.5 - 2 hours from the parking location (intersection of Akerbloms and Titirangi. Well worth it for the view!!

Wow! Amazing! Last 20mins was a steep road up but so worth it! Don't believe GPS, just continue the walk and u will see the sign for the Lookout on your left...

Beautiful views of Queen Charlotte and Kenepuru sound. There is an issue with google maps as of date 24th April, 2021 it gives directions from William's road to reach eatwell lookout point whereas the walk starts from intersection of Akerbloms and Titirangi road which is towards Punga cove. Walk needs about 3.5 hrs of return time and you will find mountain goats , wild mushrooms and weka . Weka visited us at lookout for a nice photo as well

Totally worth the short climb up the hill! Together with the oahanau lookout the best views of the queen Charlotte track!

Excellent view in about 270 degrees of the two sounds below. Definitely worth the side trip up hill even on a day that is only moderately clear. Takes only 30 min, even allowing time for a break at the top.

Beautiful views. Took 2 hours up and 1.5 back so plan for about 4 hours so you can enjoy the views up top. Saw some goats roaming about at the top and two wekas along the way.

Very cool and best view of day 2 or 3 of the track. Onahau (day4) is probably slightly more impressive, but an even longer climb. Definitely worth doing though!
