Pacific Radiology After Hours - Christchurch

Short wait for my appointment, friendly and were happy to answer questions. I felt comfortable and really at ease considering the situation. I will forever appreciate the service I received :)

I had a pregnancy scan here on Friday Morning. I wasn't feeling very well. The staff were really helpful, and found the paperwork I was missing and the lady showed me to a seat. I waited about 40 minutes ( My appointment was for 9am and I finally saw the radiographer at 9.40am) That's quite a wait for a pregnant woman whom has consumed a lot of water in order for the scan to be taken. And thus can not go to the toilet.Once in the radiographer's room I was told to lie on the bench, the lady taken the scan was very cold to me. She kept the screen hidden from me, and when I asked to see, she showed me the screen for 3 seconds. She did not point out any thing and just said your about 9 weeks" . I was almost near tears as this pregnancy is vey high risk and very bad for bot me and the baby. So I have a big decision to make. She made me feel like I was scum. Like she was judging me. I was not offered a copy of the scan.. That really upset me. I was told where the toilet was and told to leave.Treatment of her patience would cause someone young and hormonal much pain... it caused me enough at 40. This woman should reconsider her bedside manner..big time!!!... 4 Stars for the other staff."
