Just stopped for a quick coffee so can't judge the food but looking at what people are eating it all looks great. Staff is friendly, bathroom is quite clean, plenty of seating even though it gets quite busy. Coffee was good.

First time visiting this establishment. The locals obviously like the place as there seemed to be a few of them, from a walking group cause you could tell. Overall it was fine for a small cafe, only had a scone and coffee both were okay.

Disappointed by the bad customer service. We were a group of friends,16 of us. One of us clearly ordered a Decafe coffee.. they made a mistake and made it standard. Fair enough, they had a lot of orders to make.. but then instead of apologizing the manager came out to our seating and demanded we come pay the extra $1 for decafe before they make a new one. Such bad service. We spent a fair bit of money as a group and even after THIER mistake they were more worried about the extra $1 than happy customers. Sounds likes this seems to be thier pattern from previous reviews.

Closest to our accomodation. A little bit pricey but worth it. The serving is bigger than what you think. It could be the best overall to have food and coffee just because we went there several times.

The daughter of the owner made my coffee and it was perfect. This is coming from someone with over a decade in the industry.Truely impressive!

Waste of time, got my food after I specifically asked to remove all onions from the dish including relish and it arrives full of onions.I send this back and get the same burger back with the onions relish scraped off the burger and a finger mark in a new plate that wiped a drop clearly from a drop of relish sauce where they scratched it off. I return this burger and show the staff with no reply not even a apology or let us try again just stood there like statues.$25 just got a coffee at least it was good.

We turned up after 2.30pm & was advised by the staff there was a 30min wait. I appreciate a cafe that knows how to set wait expectations to their customers. The coffee was great & we enjoyed our meal with views from the balcony over the Ohope St hub.Good stop but next time I’m keen to continue to the Ohiwa Oyster Farm.

Great spot on a busy and interesting road, opposite a lovely park with views of the sea. Good food although two of us asked for runny eggs and they arrived cooked which is disappointing. Everything else was good. Outside shaded seating. On road parking.

The experience was marred by an unfriendly and unhappy attendant. The kids' meal included cheap, supermarket-bought spaghetti. The grilled fish was overpriced at $27.00 and tasted terrible. The accompanying salad had low-quality dressing, likely the cheapest available at the supermarket. Moreover, it was unacceptable that they expected customers to beg for a napkin, and even when provided, it was accompanied by an eye-rolling gesture.
