Breakfast was much nicer than my previous visit. The food was well seasoned and the coffee was great. The space is awesome to work in as well. See you guys soon.

I used The Village Cafe to cater dinners for our 3 day songwriting retreat. Grant was very flexible with our needs and schedule, delivering tasty dinners and tempting desserts for 13 hungry songwriters. The portions were extremely generous. Easy to work with, reliable and punctual, the fare was definitely an asset to our music making! Recommended.

Very disappointing that breakfast turned into lunch.Ridiculously long wait time even for just coffee.Appreciate the owner is using local staff.Sadly the owner is nowhere to be seen.This is hurting your business.Saw several people turn around and walked out.Food, meals seem to be made one @ a time.$7 for 3 mushrooms on side and $7 for 3 streaks of beacon.Where is the owner?? (Wouldn't asked if I new the owner)This is not the staffs problem.The owner is driving this place or not into the ground.

I loved the Eggs Benedict and my partner enjoyed the Croque Monsieur. I also really enjoyed coffee here.The service was also fantastic and the team were happy and friendly. We got our order really quickly too.I'll certainly be returning to this restaurant next time I'm in Martinborough soon!

We unfortunately got the same meal (croque monsieur) and it was the worst cafe brunch I’ve ever had - bread was soggy, ham was a mix of jelly like fat and hard gristle, the cheese wasn’t properly melted and tasted off and some of the chips were so under cooked they were ice cold and hard in the middle. One of the waitresses also spilled a good portion of coffee as she placed it down and then just giggled as she walked away. On a positive note - Our friends meals both looked much nicer so think we just made a bad choice and the meals all came out really quickly.

After avoiding this place for the last 5 years (and regularly getting a kick out of reading their Google reviews on here), last week due to everywhere else being busy, I decided to give it another shot- so I had a coffee and some food. I was blown away by the level of service I received! The coffee was delicious, and made quickly, as was my food. I’m assuming new owners are running the place. Regardless, the young lady working was so lovely to me and my toddler. I’ll be coming back for sure.

I'm here right now and eating some really great granola and yogurt, washing it down with a LARGE (and I mean large) sauvignon blanc.It's quiet but it's Monday so that's to be expected and frankly I'm enjoying the peace and quiet.
