Nice friendly atmosphere and staff and if you want to go in for a drink by yourself it's perfect, as they always have a cult classic movie playing behind the bar to make you feel less awkward to sip away a drink or two

Usually a pretty good experience, but staff that night were very uptight and kicked us out because we talked in the bathroom. Very confusing as usually ok, poor management of the situation.

Absolutely terrible service. Been on/off coming here for the past few years. One of the bar ladys has an absolute power trip. One occasion I purchased a cider, this was sold to me and within a few minutes subsequently confiscated from me and when I complained, the bartender went and got the bouncer who was just as confused as to why we were being kicked out. Took my money and my drink. What a joke.Went back here just the other night and whilst lined up outside having a chat to the same bouncer, the bartender told the bouncer to not let us in. Again the bouncer was confused and implied she must not like us very much. Turns out this bartender is the bar manager, absolutely power hungry, incredibly rude and without care for the customer or the reputation of the bar.TL:DR•Bar manager charged me for a drink that she refused to let me have.• Have been seemingly banned from the bar for complaining about the drink issue.I'd highly recommend going elsewhere. Lots of other good bars in the area such as Malthouse, Dakota or practically any other bar.- Long-term customer who wont be coming back and seemingly is allowed back.

This place is a disgrace....served us a beer that tasted and looked like dregs and slops and had the audacity to charge me 22 dollars for the pleasure. Absolutely revolting.Avoid this place at all costs unless u want to be poisoned with the shittiest beer every and pay a high price for it!

Not bad for a Courtney Place bar normally, but went the other night and had a miserable experience. Kids were throwing water all over each other and other customers and picking fights with anyone who asked them to stop. Their friend, Arie, was bartending and recorded them while they acted like toddlers. She told us and other customers we could move if we didn’t like it. What a joke.
