My dad went in to get 5m of 3 core+E cable to go from a switch to a 2 speed ventilation fan in the ceiling. He explained that he didn't really know what he needed but wanted something with 4 wires to do the job. He asked if it could be round to make it easier to feed through the wall. He even showed the guy the fan he was installing on their shelf. The guy sold him some 4 core+E that is about 15mm thick and charged him over $200. It's the sort of cable you see on big timber reels on the back of council trucks that they run under ground. It's rigid as anything. Will never go up the wall. I went back and asked what was going on. The guy accepted that it's the wrong cable but refused to refund cut cable. So my dad is over $200 out of pocket. Went to bunnings and got the correct cable for $15. Don't waste your time with this shop. They have no idea.

Terrible service. I got the newbie who didn't know a thing, so i have to wait while he learns. Then he tells me a 3-gang light switch is going to be $440. Seriously??!

They're not much on helpfulness unless you're one of their favorites. Won't go back again.
