Awesome trip up Fox Glacier. Unique in their lovely Hughes 500E helicopter. James the pilot gave us an excellent commentary & made the flight exceptional. Excellent value for money, highly recommend.

did a helicopter tour in perfect weather conditions! It was amazing, beautiful views and fun touchdown so we could walk on the glacier.These people are amazing! It's a family run business and you can really see the passion these people have for their work. They were also so kind, even dropped me off at lake matheson afterwards as I told them I wanted to go there! Can highly recommend this company.

My wife and I took a flight with mountain helicopters while holidaying in NZ. Before we booked I was a little apprehensive as I'm not normally a fan of flying however I decided to give it a go and I'm so glad I did. The confidence and skill of Michael the pilot really put me at ease and allowed me to relax and really enjoy every minute of the flight ( something I never thought I would ). The kiwi family that own and run this business are from memory 3rd or 4th generation in fox glacier so their knowledge of the area and its history really is second to none. Therese who booked us in not only made us feel very welcome from the start, but also shared local information on things and places we should go and see while campervaning through NZ. This family/business made us feel important not just a number and I could tell they were proud to show us some of the best views we might ever see. So I'd like to give a huge thankyou to Therese, Michael and there son for making our holiday so much more memorable. If your thinking of taking a flight to fox glacier,Mt Cook or Franz Josef go see these guys to book, they will make it a personal experience not a big business tourist type of experience. We did the 30 minute flight with snow landing. We got extra at every turn and could not be happier. This is a family run business and go the extra mile to make you happy. This is the company to fly with.

Very good value from a friendly local family business. All other operators wanted at least 3 people before they would fly, these guys took the two of us for fractionally less than the others.They also gave us loads of info about local places to stay and eat.

Took our first helicopter flight ever over the most stunning scenery and we were so happy that we chose the Mountain Helicopters guys to fly with. This is a small family run business and everyone was extremely nice and welcoming. You could see the pilot loved his job, was very knowledgeable and kept us informed throughout the flight. The whole scenery was spectacular and, although a bit nervous at first since it was my first flight, I absolutely loved the experience and was walking around with a smile on my face for the rest of the day :)After the flight we stayed and chatted with the team for quite a while and they gave us heaps of interesting information on other places around the South Island and great tips on fishing locations for my partner.I can’t recommend this business enough, we loved! And we will for sure take another scenic flight with them if we are ever back in the area. Thank you!!

Amazing experience, the guys at Mountain Helicopters make it even more amazing.Michael and the guys have lots of experience and know the area very well.They were nice enough to accommodate for us last minute since we were doing a set road trip and didn’t have a lot of time to wait.Prices are cheaper than other but the experience is as amazing if not better.Definitely recommended.
